So, for a different game, i updated my graphics card from an Nvidia GTX 650 to a radeon R9 285.

    So many more FPS.

But, when i play PA now (and PA: titans) i get a weird green glow on all my planets.
It's like a screwed up shadow.

And i've already checked the basics: Updated drivers, fiddled with the settings, wiped and reinstalled the game.
I'm running win 7 on an i5 CPU and have 8G ram.
And using the standard drivers for my AMD card. No fancy settings.

This happens with and without mods, before and after the titan update.

    Any ideas?
Anyon had this and fixed it?

Hrm. I think I've seen this before, but not a 'graphics' bug. Like, I got it when I made a planetwide patrol and then the circle bugs in the on state and then gets rendered for the rest of the game.

Yeah, that's a new one. Could you post your DxDiag.txt? You can make one by pressing <WinKey>+R, typing "dxdiag", and pressing "Save All Information...". You can upload that file here using the "Upload a File" button on this forum.

I also have amd graphics and was having the same issues.
But i was able to fix it by editing the key options. If i press the key capslock all gets green but dont turn back. If i pushing shift and caplsock often it disappears.

    Hope it helped.

    Here's my file.

I'll try the Shft-capslock thing too.
What do you edit them to?

Also, yeah, i'm thinking the stuck circle render is on the right track.
when i make another circle, you can see little gaps around the edges.
and sometimes when you go to a new planet/see PIP there's no green.

Do you issue planet-wide area patrols though? Or is it simply there from the start of the game?

It's there right from the start.

I do issue plate patrols/Mex builds, but it makes no difference.

The green shows up before the commander lands.
It might be related to the green 'choose landing' circle, as it's missing on any planet that doesn't have one.

    Azirahael,

Did you ever get this resolved? I'm having same issue as referenced here: https://forums.uberent.com/threads/...ure-weirdness-in-pa.69731/page-2#post-1110741

It appears to be an OpenGl problem. A big problem. I was wondering if you got it handled. Thanks.

    Yes. sort of.

I never got it sorted out. and reinstalling the drivers didn't help.
But after a trial of windows 10 (Eeeeeew!) went horribly wrong, i did a clean reinstall of windows 7 and now it works fine.

So, yes, it's fixed, but i have no idea why, or what happened.

    Sorry.
