Bots don't have any AA. One T2 bot is counterable. Nuke tank is more useful than builder with rockets. Vehicle fabs is more efficient than bots, but they also slower. Tanks are not that bad.
Well, that is a personal trolling to Nosebreaker. I think he doesn't really means that. T1 tanks are the main force unit in early and middle game. They can get smashed by bomber, if they get no AA support. But grenadier and boom bots can't beat the tanks with effective cost. For tank vs bot, it is another situation. Tanks can win in the directly conflict. But the box can form an available troop much earlier than the tanks do. And they are especially useful in early game. Since bots are faster than tanks, they can scout and strike the enemy early expansion. But when the time pass, player should build more tanks to replace the bots. And tanks are much more solid than bots in middle game.
How can you think the state of tanks are good. every one rushes Titans while fun now... wont be in a couple weeks. Tanks need way buffing to be able to take some hits from titans so T1 isnt such a push over
In my opinion, the T1 tanks are fine. As the 20th platinum player in 1vs1 ranks, I don't think everyone rushes to Titan. If fact, in a map without large water area, player can't reach the Titan without T1 tank pushing and securing the metal extractor outside the initial landing base. Units are used progressively. Bots, T1 tanks, T2 tanks, then the orbital and Titan. Unless you are in a system with multiple planets, so you don't need to worry about the early rush. About to counter the Titan, there are many ways, but just don't expect T1 tanks can do this job.
I think tanks are fine, But i totally agree that there is a big problem with early titan rushing. They are simply to cheap...
Btw, why do I always read Norsebreaker? I mean, It certainly would sound so much more epic! Nosebreaker looks more like some random thug.
Yes Yes Some one evil Having fun with The Nosebreakers name..... But back to topic. T1 tanks does not stand up to t2 bots but they do counter but some what badly t1 unless The player with the T2 hasn't really begun to push really hard and is using a lot of the T1 but supplemented badly withT1 air.. Sometimes the T1 and T2 air will inordinately converse to create a dynamically bad Tactiacal situaltion Resutling in the demise of said T1 Tanks.. The Nosebreaker finds most of this to be a bad result T1 Tanks need to be give to them something to counter the cost and aa upgrade of the hover tank.... Possibly making them T1.25 That would be a good start.. T3 needs to be increased in cost to slow down the Titan Phase of the game, which is awsome btw.. Some Ideas for micro improvments 2x armour 1.68 speed increase so thats speed just behind the dox Much Like a fast recon raiding tank... But Not 2nd indipendant Turret 3rd Indipendant turret possibly but maybe a little too much Just reduce damage on third turrent to an appropriate amount... Limited ability to Jump Via Hover vertical Pulse Thrustmegafactor Vectoring... Yes Vectoring The Insanity.... Cost decrease to offset cost decrease of the Hover Tank and Finnaly A Micro Uav ......... Some food for thought for sure The Nosebreaker is not saying all these changes have to take place ...But a few would definitely help
While I don't think that tanks vs bots balance is a problem, but I agree that titan rush/spam is a thing. Also, there are no reasons to have multible turrets on something smaller that a titan, because you need to micro to make all turrets fire at target. I mean, it works fine with multiple enemies in completely different directions, but situations like this happen rarely.
To compliment The Nosebreaker's recommendations: my humble opinion as the most renowned modder within the underground TA community is herein presented for your consideration. The Titans revolution has brought much greatness to the PA title - I applaud the swell of fresh blood to the infinite lobby sim mini-game. However the devil is in the details as they say and some particular modifications are crucial to the continuing success of the legacy of UBER. You know of course that tanks have much too slow a speed in all respects, why I can alt+tab and read the enter new post section of the forum in the time it takes for my humble tank to roll around the planet, lob it's shot and single handly bring the destruction of mine enemies. In short the following must be considered urgently in this project: Projectiles of the HEAT ammunition travel at an infinitesimally slow rate and must raised 2.75 fold.... A server duration of three ticks is simply much too long. pretty please extend and give us awesome cool down effects with smoke clouds for our viewing pleasure as the enemy wreckage sets the foundation for our road to victory. The IS3 was the greatest ever tank created yet the bola/ant is yet to be better. You would think advanced robots that are fighting across the galaxy in an infinite war would create something better.
Interesting point you make.....while Russian armour was very impressive for a country in the stone age at the time. The real winner of greatest tank ever made had to be the panther because it contained traits uniqe to russian tanks of the time "sloped armour" and the might of German precision and engineering. Making in best of both Ideologies. The Panther also saw action and was produced prior to the Is3. Yes agreed the t1 tank needs to be buffed slightly a few suggestions have been added so far.
