Yes. Much better to build it and then negotiate, instead of just having it blowup. It could allow you to get some extra troops off the planet before it detonates.
Yes, definitely. Its kind of pointless when it goes off automatically and you are still on the planet affected.
I voted no. I think it is an interesting twist on this device. You want to blow up a planet? Well, you need to build a Ragnarok now. You need the build power the moment you want to doomsday, not half an hour ago.
That is the entire point! I think it's a lot more fun the way it is, having a "go" button makes it like any other planet killing device currently in game.
I wouldn't really call it fun when you build a Ragnarok and get distracted by enemy attack and meanwhile the planet buster destroys you and your oposition and you loose. Had this happen once when my ally built Ragnarok not informing me and we lost the game accordingly.
But Ragnaroks are global info and everyone gets a notification, if you lost because you got distracted... then you lost 'cause you got distracted, that's on you.
Don't know what info you are talking about but there was no notification a Ragnarok was built like for Catalyst or Halley. Everybody in the game was surprised about the planet exploding.
See I really don't understand why the community wants this. I enjoy the fact that if you build a raganorok, you are committed to using it. It adds an interesting game mechanic that isn't there otherwise. I think it should very much be an 'oh ****, blow it all up' thing, not a build it and use it if you are losing thing. I think adding this feature encourages people to build the ragnarok whenever they have the spare eco, just so they can hit that panic button if all else fails. And that isn't fun. It's much more fun to build it knowing there is no coming back, in a last ditch desperate move. So I vote no, strongly!
