I brought Titans a couple of days ago and been constantly bombarded with technical issues. I am on a windows 10 system with an AMD card that is updated and should be up to par to play this game no problems. I can start the game, but when trying to enter any sort of match the game either crashes or looses the connection with the server. With galactic wars I can sometimes enter a game but the UI never loads... I've tried the nomods command and turned of steam overlay.... I tried the other launch command.. The UI one but I can't remember the text right now... Please help. Getting more sad that angry at this point
Windows 10 seems to cause quite a bit of trouble for PA. That being said, you do seem to have very little virtual memory. That may cause the crashes you are seeing. Could you try increasing the virtual memory to at least 14 GB? I can't seem to find instructions on how to do that in Windows 10, but here they are for 7. It should be similar: http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/change-virtual-memory-size#1TC=windows-7
Thank you for replying! When changing VM, there's this Initial size and Maximum size. Should Both be set to 14000?
this fixed the crashes! Though the UI still takes about a minute to load. When I select start point against AI for example it takes a minute for the "start annihilation" button to appear, and then when my commander has landed his build bar takes a minute too, so my enemies get about a 2 minute head start :/
You mean there is a lag between selecting your commander and the build bar to appear? (By the way, the time before the "start annihilation" button is clicked doesn't count as the game only starts when everybody (including AI) has clicked that button)
Yes. My commander lands and can walk around, but I can't build anything with him because his build bar takes about 1-2 minutes to load in. I know the match starts when everyone has pressed that button, but I only played against AI, and if I hover over him in the player-list it says "Ready"
Try starting PA like this: Code: PA.exe --coherent-options="--renderer-process-limit=8" If that helps, try increasing the number to 16 and 32. Keep the highest number where you don't get any lag. And AI being ready only means ready to start playing. It's not playing yet. Its commander will land at the exact same moment as yours.
