The real question though is what type of jam? I mean the classic is strawberry, but I could see you throwing a curve ball and going for gooseberry, or rhubarb and ginger...

He knows, the scene depicts our glorious Prince going through arduous mental training preparing himself for the Battle of Ages, the Decider of Fates, the Moment of Rejoicing.

Praise be to the Scone Prince, for he shall suffer that we may restore our honour.

I'm just going to pop in here and say crepes are better

...though I have no clue what the difference between a pancake and a scone is. Seems to change depending on where you are.

Crepes now, those seem to stay consistent.

A pancake and a crepe are similar. A scone is essentially a type of cake that includes milk in the mixture and is nothing like a pancake....

wait, people make pancakes without milk? that's just gross.

and kind of what I mean, what a pancake is depends a lot on where you are. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pancake

I didn't even look at the image, I use these forums in reverse video to get white text on black background to make it easier for me to see, which makes pictures a problem.

A scone is a type of cake that uses milk- like a sponge cake. It has absolutely nothing to do with a pancake / crepe which are typically flat.

You obviously have no idea what a scone is. Normal cake mixtures don't use milk (using sugar, flour, butter and eggs) e.g: http://www.bbc.co.uk/food/recipes/mary_berrys_perfect_34317

A scone is similar but with the addition of milk: http://www.bbc.co.uk/food/recipes/scones_1285

Pancakes do vary but are totally different to the above e.g. a British pancake has no sugar like:
    http://www.bbc.co.uk/food/recipes/basicpancakeswithsuga_66226

    Or a french Crepe:
    http://www.bbc.co.uk/food/recipes/classiccrepessuzette_66236

Note how the last 2 are flat as they have no raising agent to speak of. American / Scottish pancakes are more 'cake' like I guess but still nothing like a scone.
