    Global question : what is the best thing to do for the unit names?

    Do we keep the original names or do we translate them? Or do we translate them and mention the original name in parentheses/brackets behind them?

    While I prefer keeping the original names, the best and most fair thing to do is the last option in my opinion. Because some people really want their names translated (either because they can't pronounce them or they don't know what it means,...). So that's what I've been voting on so far.

    I've been using just the translated names. I do understand the rationale, i.e. the names remain recognizable. It just seems odd to me to have two names for every unit. Also, it makes the unit name too long too. Then again, this is exactly what the voting system is for. :)

    Basic naval tech and some other disabled strings can already be seen in the GetLocalization

    Hi guys
    I'm one of the Italian translators. I'm trying to change the achievement translations but it seems impossible! It keeps coming back to a google translate version. All other sentences work.

    You should report users that simply do Google translates though (red triangle with exclamation mark). That's just not right and Uber has no way of telling. I'm not sure why people do that... That "mscattergood" person did the same thing for Polish.

    I will start working on Chinese (Hong Kong) translation.

    but i see between getlocalization and in game folder (locales/dev) and (locales/zh-HK) which current version,

    it have different files. what should i do to fix it ?

    edit: i can't use --locale to test my lang file. Have another way to test translation? (steam user)

    Thanks Uber for adding arabic in your game but
    a bug in the language

    as you see The Single Player in arabic is "لاعب واحد" but in-game is "ل ا ع ب و ا ح د"
    and the way to fix it (i hope it works) its adding a new text style "Arial Arabic"
    or other good thing but it must be arabic
    and i have proof the game/game engine is working in arabic
    i can type in chat arabic right

    an i wish you Uber members can fix this

    It should be noted that there is really only 2 types of written Chinese, simplified or traditional.

    Both can be translated into each other with extreme ease considering there is no difference in terms of language structures or phrases. The only difference is the way the characters are written.

    Slangs are one of the few things that might vary across different cultures but I doubt PA localizations would have the need or even want to include slangs.

    TLDR; I propose the merging of Chinese(Hong Kong) and Chinese(Taiwan) into Chinese(Traditional) and the change of Chinese(Mainland) into Chinese(Simplified)

    but between Chinese(Hong Kong) and Chinese(Taiwan) have most usage word is different for Culture.

    so can't merge to one.

    Hi,
    I really appreciate PA, but French translation are really bad, not in the UI, but during the explorer system phase - after a battle. Phrases have no meaning, there is some clue to understand , nothing else.

    How can I help to improve that ?
    never done it before, but I really want to help.

    there is multiple "Translation Memory" entries, but only one translation...
    That's mean there is missing correction, or other entries are good.
    But, why "TM" entires are tagged with a pourcentage (84%;83%;100%;...)
