I've just been easing my way back into PA, and I have noticed that people no longer spam dox- people just seem to love Grenadiers. Why are they so popular?
Believe he is talking about stable and not pte. People that use them are most likely new players that don't understand how bad they are. They are good if you allow them to be good but other than that they are useless against anybody that uses a radar or see their units being attacked.
I think they can be pretty good if you mix em up sooner or later. It depends on the map too though. I love it when they shoot over some hills/mountains while the other guys tanks can't do anything except micro his way out of it again. I'd recommend mixing em up
I agree with the two gentlemen over here. If used good on maps with cgi they can be extremely efficient, otherwise just crappy. Manny of the 1v1 maps do have some big cgi obstacles close to the bases, so there is possible to do some very good attacks. I have yet to see any good players use them rapidly though.

Grenadiers are really awesome when they scuttle around in those trenches on the metal planets and shoot up out of them.
A full grenadier are useless, but if you put them in to a tank army they are really effective. And more if the map have some mountains. You can do some nice work if you use it in the good way.
They just got buffed again in the new update - and they're even more useful now. Arguably they have one, very specific use...
They're also the only t1 unit with splash damage. Even if they all attack the same unit and overkill the damage is not completely wasted. They're a close second to bombers when it comes to chewing up large groups of poorly microed dox.
