well lets het started first i couldnt log in because "apparently" i had wrong username or password that was on the "uber luancher" so then i downloaded the PA.exe from the uber website and got a desktop icon called "Planetary Annihlation" i logged on to that successfully then i had to do an update about 1.26GB completed the update pressed "play" and it restarted the update. Unless sombody tells me what the hell is going on then this is the worst thing anybody could buy. I cant even say its a game because i cant play it. Anyway that was a little rant i really want to play this but it just wont let me any help will be appreciated thank you. Aaron
Hmm, I am not sure what you did in what order. You downloaded the game from uber directly and installed it and then you could not login? The login you should use is the same you use for this forums.
Can you try pressing [VERIFY]? Does it start downloading again? What if you press [PLAY] after the verification?
I have a retail version of the game so i used a disk first witch gave me the "Uber Launcher" on my desktop. When i tried logging on to that with the username and password "same as form" It said username or password incorrect. So then i downloaded the EXE from the Uber website then the EXE game me the "Planetary Anniliation" desktop icon. When i logged on to that it worked, then i downloaded the update for the game. After the update was finished i pressed play and the update restarted thanks. Aaron [UPDATE] the game is now working don't know how but it started by its self but now it works so thank you for your help.
@aaron10250 one word of advice- if you get any random crashes make sure your graphics drivers are fully up to date as PA can be a bit fussy about that (if your not sure about that post a message and we'll help!). Glad you got the game working Have fun!
You can play the game without ever signing in, just launch the .exe That is of course unless you want to play online.. >.> (Sorry just telling you this because I don't know how to help in other ways) Edit: Should have read the full thread!
Unfortunately, the Launcher from the retail disc is outdated. When trying to log in, it says the username/password is incorrect when that truly is not the case. Uninstalling and downloading the latest Launcher from our site resolves the issue. In order to get the PA.exe file, you must log in and press PLAY to download the game from the Launcher. This only needs to happen one time, then you can play offline and start the game directly from the PA.exe file. I apologize for all the complications.
Would it be in any way possible to cause the location the outdated launcher is checking for user credentials to trigger an email to the email address asking to login? That would at least allow for a link to a current launcher to get to the user right away. I know you can't change the launcher itself but I assume that when we try and authenticate with it there is an outbound connection of some kind.
