Hey Uber, not every MP game needs snipers in it.

I mean, I know there's only so many ways to shoot a gun but it's not like every multiplayer shooter has to have sniping in it. Because, in case you didn't notice, snipers tend to ruin games. You have good snipers that'll sit back and force the game into overtime and you have great snipers that push forward and abuse their abilities, not even playing the class anything like a sniper.

So I'm not sure what the point is other than providing variety just for the sake of variety, at the cost of fun for everyone else.

And then there's bad snipers who can't do anything. It balances out. Same can be said for any of the classes in the game.

There's nothing wrong with snipers.

Snipers are great counters to both Gunners and Tanks, they can really slow down an enemy Assassin by using explosive rounds on their own bots, and Juiced they are great anti-pro killing machines. They have their place.

Yeah, well, unless you have a Combine reproduction suppression field, Speed and Deadly Accuracy are going to be at it like rabbits. The Sniper is the only Pro not to be cloned - Deadly Accuracy is just a whore

I don't know what's worse, having no idea what you're talking about or actually half understanding what you're going on about.

Lol, you guys are complaining about the Sniper on the Xbox? Go, play 15 minutes on Grenade III, Spnky, Steel Peel or Ammo Mule on the PC version... xD

I think this thread is about asking for something different. As stated above, Snipers seem to be in EVERY multi-player game. It was just a request, so to speak, for variety.

This... The only snipers that are hard to deal with are, you know, GOOD snipers, but that's because they're, you know, GOOD. The same applies to every class.
However, this is not what the topic is about.

On-topic: I think Snipers add variety to most games, that's why they're put in.

sniper rifles will always be a big part of fps...just like assault rifles and pistols

I still fail to see how snipers are such a threat (especially doing the objective, but also kills) with a 4 round clip. 4 shots in their clip, and you think they are too strong? They can kill 1 bot wave with a 4 round clip (they get as big as 3 blackjacks, it takes the entire clip to kill that much, and that is with passive 3). They can kill 1 to 2 pros, if that pro comes out and does something stupid, because they got to put the dot on your head once or your body multiple times. Right now, they can get a bot wave an a pro at the beginning of the game (with passive), and just a bot wave or just a pro torwards the end of the game (with passive).

I simply though that they either don't need another rate of fire nerf (else they would kill NOTHING, bots or otherwise), or they need a rather large damage buff to make up for rate, which would possibly cause more rage.

Show us where on the Gunner doll the bad sniper touched you.

As long as their puny bodies continue to melt like butter I'm fine with the Sniper.
