Please add game speed controls

Actually, you can. If you start the server directly, it will open a screen that says "No Sim". If you then start a game as you normally would, then PA will use the manually started server. Pressing PageUp and PageDown inside the server window increases and decreases the sim speed respectively. It's meant for debugging purposes obviously, but maybe it will help you.

I meant single player "campaign". I will try what you mean and see if it works.

If you've got time to make a cup of tea you're doing it wrong. I'd already have your engineers sniped in that time. Do remember that you are at battle from second 1, it's not necessarily a game where you spend 5 minutes building up a base before you even scout your opponent. Sure, battles across multiple planets may include an element of this, and that's why I think they suck. Anyone remember the no rush for 20 minutes game in supcom2? Only newbs would play them. You'd build up a base, build up a crazy arm, attack in one go and either win or lose. This is the least fun way of playing the game. You should be battling for every bit of land throughout every minute of the game.

Don't be so mean. People don't "suck", or "are newbs", or "play the least fun way", just because they have a different style of playing from you. Different people have different styles. Sure, PA is meant to be fast-paced, but if ToTQ wants a slow relaxing game and it's possible with a simple workaround, then why not... I wouldn't call that "you are doing it wrong", just different, not wrong.

Here Here I remember a friend of mine playing the Warcraft RTS. He would enter tournaments and memorize all the buttons. He would barely look at the screen for the first minute or so. The keyboard should have caught on fire. Sins of a solar empire with 5 computer players on the hardest level all against you, I think, is impossible if you crank the speed way up. They can always out click a human. So, I turn it down, prepare and plan, and out chess maneuver them in a 3 week long game. I would just like the option for faster and slower. The Anno series also has this. To bad my computer doesn't have a turbo button I can turn off, maybe that would work, lol.
