Hey guys I have had an issue of late playing Galactic wars the systems barely load and when the planets are visible there's no UI to select a planet (no problem mousewheel into a planet and click) but once your commander lands theres no UI to build things... I once had a problem with Skyrim* where saved games caused the game to slow down I thought why would this be I have a totally different save game the fix was move all the other saved games into a separate folder not connected to game..... (*I think it was skyrim... but it could have been XCOM.. or another game.. too much PA lately ) Anyway I've been playing alot better and have amassed large armies toward end game.. I wonder if all this information is saved and therefore creating large file sizes that the game loads (in background) despite not needing them..... I noticed now I have numerous galactic wars I haven't completed (when I was newbie and I hope at some time to turn to some of these saves and pummel the commanders that had bullied me) long story short: It seems the only way I can delete these games is to LOAD, LOSE (wait for enemy to kill me) and go into ARCHIVED WARS > SELECT > DETAILS > DELETE ARCHIVE > YES. Is there another way that I can just go to a file on my computer and select files and delete..
me again. I can play a couple of games without issue and this is a new one on me, been playing since Unit Cannon patch, could it be something at Uber's end since latest patch..
Bug continuously get fixed, so that may very well have been the case. As for deleting the older Galactic Wars, there is indeed a faster way, though it's a bit tricky. See here: https://forums.uberent.com/threads/how-to-delete-broken-galactic-war-games.64020/#post-997258
It sounds to me that Coherent had crashed as that manages the UI side of things. The easiest way to check is to see if you have a lot of Coherent processes when you're running PA. If it is indeed Coherent then you may need to limit how many processes of Coherent there are. If you'd like a hand in doing this then I'm sure that myself or someone in this awesome community will be able to help you
How many Coherent process should there be? I always see a bunch of them in my task manager (but have not counted the quantity)
