    PTE build for testing hotfix issues. Will push these live the 20th if all looks good, so if you are experiencing these in live, please check PTE and confirm the fixes :) Thanks!

    Update with:

    -Fix for units not attacking
    -Fix for local save/load

    Balance:
    -Piranha will no longer attempt to fire at units on the sea floor.

    Polish/Bugfix:
    -Improvements on neural network for AI
    -Fix for performance hit when doing planet wide patrol
    -Fix for metal spots being unbuildable
    -Fixed AI nuke crash
    -Fixed crash for save/load
    -Fix for nav crash
    -Fix for spectators being able to pause the games
    -Removed Galactic War Save button until it is functional
    -Fix for uneven starting metal on pacific

    if i may adress a bug, i have an issue with Gil-E's that i recently discovered. apparently they can shoot through solid rock. i had pelters behind a rocky hill (terrain blockage). and what do the Gil-E's do? the y up and shoot through the rock, killing them. then they shoot through the walls and kill the turrets.

    think about that for a sec.

    the gil-e's bullets are pretty much unblockable. (assuming what i witnessed was true). now i could see them doing, say, reduced damage for shooting thru the energy wall, but through solid rock? if that does not scream *bug* i don't know what does. maybe it was just never thought of until now. but if it is indeed true it does not make a single lick of sense.

    The neural networks have nothing to do with that. Also, I have no idea what you mean by them not building naval.

    I just played a game against 3 AI's on Pacific (on Normal), and all of them built naval?

    Is there going to be a fix for the units don't fire bug? It is one of the things that ruins games when it happens. (it was visible in burnedcustard vs killerkiwijuice on the evil twins tournament. Custards entire army didn't shoot even once and kiwis inferior army cut trough it like butter. It happened to me occasionally too and its awefull in many ways.

    exactly. and i even duscovered they shoot through buildings and other units too. so if you're targeted by a gil-e, you're six different kinds of fucked. i've begun seeing gil-es almost become a staple of competetive lay because of this. the last 2 matches, people went adv bots, and always included gil-es, likely for this very reason. they function on the fact that they have a unit that effectively ignores everything in front of it.

    mountains? lolnope, shoot through it.

    wall of energy? lolnope, right through that too.

    entire enemy army? lolnope. screw balistics, target the commander.

    I don't know if this is a bug or not, but sometimes when I put a structure for the fabbers or commander to build, while heading to the location they will get stuck on the building in front of them and keep going into it, instead of going around, I then have to click him and redirect him to the spot, then build. It might be a Path-finding bug?

    The stock personalities have 0.05 naval, so if they have a choice they won't build much naval.

    well it looks like bug fixes and a lot of AI changes, time to work up another PTE report o_O

    @sorian I recorded the AI not base-building properly bug I previously mentioned via OBS and uploaded the chronocam to youtube. Hopefully this is more helpful to you:

    Of note, a whopping 3 AIs did not properly basebuild. Planet was almost all water.
    Edit2:All AI on "Absurd" difficulty.

    If I find later that the replay appears in my replay list (which it might actually this time), I'll add that too.


    Edit 1: Completely different game, but also has extremely bizarre AI behavior: LobbyID 17950407186211217910. Here we had AI building metal extracters only for the first 4-5 min, and somehow walking by enemy metal extractors without shooting them. This is in version 79380 though
