Admittedly I was suprised how tiny planets were when I first played this game. They have to get larger at some point if they are ever going to have cool features. The planets now remind me of the book "The Little Prince".

If your satellites are traveling near light speed why build nukes? Even an avenger or radar satellite would hit like a planet smash.

Ha, that would be cool, but you'd also need infinite energy just to get them up to that speed.
Anyway, I think that time was just meant as an lower bound for the travel time.

    Way to dangerous!
Just think about the amount of radiation that would be released when an projectile with non-zero rest mass will hit an target with lightspeed.

Just exactly what you need when you wage a war where you want to destroy planets.

Obviously you don't send it *at* light speed. That's impossible. But you could convert the mass of the universe into energy to accelerate one satellite pretty damned close to light speed.

We are talking about a video game and you come with realism.
That link is also rather weak, as it alone only throws out some formula that is "broken" for light speed, with no further proof whatsoever. Yes from all what humanity knows that formula works, but that doesn't make it a good explanation or a fun gameplay concept.

Not to mention that I always feel like in a few thousand years people will laugh at us stupids for believing things to be impossible like we laugh about people who claimed the earth is flat. xD

Sorry, I thought we left seriousness the moment I mentioned lightspeed ;)

Planets don't need to be bigger- Units need to be smaller.

Just change the scale of the game, even half unit sizes would make the planets twice as large.

That's one solution but the curvature of the planets still look funky with how extreme they are.

If units are smaller the curviture is automatically less so? =o

no because a hill or a canyon still takes up more then half the planet. and a mountain three fourths.....

think.my young padawan. I trained you better then this! ;)

@squishypon3 well you never said that how was I to assume you meant that.

but yeah if you scaled scg (alot) aswell you would obtain the right effect.

Rep! Planets would be huge even though really they're teeny tiny.

But i think you're over exaggerating how huge CSG is atm, personally I think the mountains are rather lackluster in size. :p
