Of course, I still wouldn't call it "epic" it's missing the magic that FA and even TA have.

Grey Goo? It's very polished don't listen to whoever told you that. Can't recommend it at full price though but a sale. It's a bit simplistic for me. The graphics and art style a great though.

From what I hear, Grey Goo and Planetary Annihilation both work well and were designed well for what they were aimed at. Honestly, the bugs in both aren't total fumbles. If one had more bugs, it would be PA, but if one had more potential, it would be PA. Grey Goo is actually likely a better game only factoring in that the development had boundaries and filled them more wholely, while PA is more limitless and with development time could keep expanding not just "faction at a time" but larger systems and more units and more players within the same match.

Don't believe me? Look at C&C3, compared to SupCom. One still has a community adding to it despite being slightly older than the other, the other is still a very solid game with very distinct walls keeping it from ever being more than it was originally designed to be.

What I mean by polished is... Optimizations, many people have told me it's badly optimized. You may not notice it, but then again you probably have a top notch computer too. :p

Hmm Alright, I might give it a go. (I could pirate the single player so I could do a little play test and buy it after if it runs nicely enough)

The game seems very interesting! :D

I think you'll enjoy it. No Homeworld Remastered to play? Not interested in that?

I like both FA and PA. But leaning toward PA these days.

    1. Quality and diversity of game is greatly dependent on the quality of map. For both.
But if you look at what ppl usually play at FAF these days... it gets old soon.
    2. FA's races are good until you realize that the moment you know sufficiently all 4,
it is same as if it is not there anymore. You know what is best at where and in which
situation. It is like unnecessary frill. Unless it is as extreme as Starcraft.
Although, not a bad thing to have.
    3. T1 is not completely obsolete in PA unlike FA.

Finally got around to finishing Homeworld RM. For being half the cost of Grey Goo and getting two games I think it's a better value. Have you finished Homeworld original before? I am assuming so but if not get it over GG.

I think you are comparing multiplayer balance and some gameplay. MP balance is a bit different from "Epic". FA had experimentals, a great single player game, and lots of other things that made it feel epic. I am more of a single player campaign guy, could care less about mp. I want my game to be fun, interesting, innovative, have some light rpg elements (commander upgrades) and have an epic feel. FA and even TA did a better job of hitting on those notes, at least for me. If I could sum up PA in a world it would be anticlimactic.
