Hello! I reported this problem a half year ago, and this is still there, and so annoying. After i finish a match again AI or in multi, i have to click on " go to main menu" and i got always PA.EXE stopped working or something like this. Please help. My drivers are new so i don't want to upload again my dxdiag but there is it... and log file too Thx, Dod.
Hey everything looks fine in your dxdiag to me. Have you ever installed any mods. Looks like it is mod related. Uninstall any mods you have in the mid folder and see if that helps. C:/ users/yourcompname/local/ app data/ Uber entertainment is the directory iirc.
Yeah, your dxdiag looks fine. In the PA logs there seems to be a fair bit trouble reading files such as: Code: [12:28:47.311] ERROR Could not create node of type: [BAD_DATA] for unit: [/pa/units/land/artillery_long/artillery_long.json] Could you try verifying the integrity of the game cache? See https://support.steampowered.com/kb_article.php?ref=2037-QEUH-3335 Also, some people have had trouble with the "Steam Overlay", so try disabling that and see if it helps. Finally, there is a list of software known to cause trouble. Do you have any on this list? : http://steamcommunity.com/app/233250/discussions/2/558751813508748383/
Could you try using the UberLauncher instead of Steam? You can find it here: https://store.uberent.com/download/pa
I would try running the verify option from the uberlauncher more than once. I've noticed that sometimes there will be one additional package to redownload after verifying it once.
Really strange. This person had a similar problem and that worked. Although it was done in a rather odd way. Anyway, could you try running PA.exe directly without either using Steam or the Uberlauncher? I think the Uberlauncher installs the game in C:\Games or something like that nowadays. There should be a PA.exe in the x64 directory. Sorry, I don't know the paths very well since I don't using Windows.
True, but the errors in the logs were similar. Sorry that PA is refusing to play nicely for you by the way. I haven't seen this crashing behaviour with anyone else yet so far. I only have one more suggestion that will probably not help, but could you turn off the virtual memory on your C drive and put about 20GB on your G drive? (See http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/change-virtual-memory-size#1TC=windows-7 ) If it doesn't work, you can just change it back to what it was.
I can check this , but the problem is around the menu "recall" method, when the game try to call back the menu, then PA.exe stop in that moment. Like a permission error , on reloading
Yeah, it's annoying. I don't know what's causing it either. Judging from the crash reports (from the links in in your PA logs), it seems to be exclusive for Window 7 (link). Uber just released a new build just ten minutes ago that fixes some crashes though, so maybe yours is among them. They are also working on a new UberLauncher, so you can give that a try as well (link).
