A thirty man team is making nice strides every month or so consistently. Your definition is slow is a bit skewed in context.

Uber were a 30 strong team, however that was before HR failed.... Since then we're talking 15 to 20 I'd guess (which highlights just how hard they've been working to get all they have out)...

Actually I beliiiieve they had been up to a 40 man team before HR, though i could be totally wrong.

As far as single player content is concerned a couple new submarines and a unit cannon (not even in the campaign btw) is not what I would consider fast development or significant content being added to the game. Especially over the course of 10 months when I got the game. I have a bunch of other indie games with smaller teams that get significantly more content. Some example are Starpoint Gemini 2, gets patched with major content regularly (Much better looking game btw). Dungeon Defenders 2, about the same team size as PA except it doesn't crash to desktop all the time and also gets major content releases almost monthly.

Dungeon defenders 2 is also more in the safe zone of RTS development, no? Tell me of things never done before that I'd has, as PA has.

I think there is just a difference in the definition of "slow" you all seem to be using. Even apart from "slow" being very subjective. You seem to define slow as "slow in stuff I care about", while the others think of slow as in "slow in number of features being added". So yes, Uber is slow in the first definition, but not in the second.

This is a fair assessment and "slow" is definitely subjective. I'd still argue even outside of single player content they are still pretty slow when it comes to major content. I don't consider bug fixes, 1v1 ranked play major content releases either. Neither is two new units. I remember when TA first came out I could log on almost weekly and download a need unit to use.

Not considering development time because you don't see a need for the feature/fix doesn't mean it wasn't taking up their resources. Since release, Uber has very much improved, based on community feed back and on the promised features.

I don't play as I don't like the current balance style, but it's improved enough that I'm looking into playing some matches to start working back in.

My biggest grip is server performance can drop to unacceptable levels for me to really have fun, but apparently that's being worked on significantly.

Playing matches at half speed is not fine. Anyways, this is a different thread.

Edit: about the reporting system thread: aside from a few bad apples, you'll find that the communuty is quite good. I wouldn't worry too much as its unlikely you'll meet one of the major offenders.

Hi and welcome to the PA forums!

If you like RTS games, and like the idea of epic scales spanning a solar-system.. then I think you will like this game a lot. You can even smash planets into each other.. so many ways to die/win :) The community is really great. They are very passionate about PA. There have been many incredible sales lately.. I say grab a copy and dive in!
The game is constantly evolving with new stuff being added regularly. There are many cool mods available already that help take the gaming experience to a whole new level.
