You don't have to buy it off of steam?

Even if you do buy it off of steam you can still download it via the Uber Launcher?

I also have all my games easily accessible from one hub, I organize all my disks in my desk & all my game shortcuts in one folder - no Steam required.

Why sell it via Steam if it's not going to be necessary to play the game? The game shouldn't even be sold through Steam. I should clarify - they key has to be activated via Steam. Which means your license is in the hands of Gabe & his goons and not Uber.

Personally, I hate physical copies, wanna know why? There's always some ******* who will either A, scratch the disk to an unreadable point, B, "misplace" the cd key, or C, "misplace" the game itself.

You're legally allowed to make one other physical copy of the game, there's no reason not to.

our difference of opinions here will forever disagree, why? Because we both have very different preferences in how we like our games stored

Because it allows you to get enough money to keep making updates for the game?

    It comes down to

Would you rather have more updates or would you rather the game never got saves, unit cannon, etc.

I'm doubtful that the devs would stay afloat without Steam sales.

how many people make "just one" when they do? A small percentage, and you can't forget that the cd key prevents you from installing it another computer, while steam allows you to install it on SEVERAL at no extra charge

They absolutely would, I have mentioned that the game was widely known even before the Steam sales, even before actual gameplay footage was revealed.

If you want to remain an ignorant and [REDACTED] [REDACTED], then go ahead. But don't spew your BS on the forums. No one else wants to hear it and there's nothing of value in reading it.

The CD key allows you to install it on any computer you have - it just prevents you from using the copy on 2 machines simultaneously. Still DRM, but at least more bearable than Steam. I'd say the vast majority of players with physical games make copies, never hurts to be prepared if the disk gets ruined.

The Steam sales were futile, they brought in maybe a tenth, probably a 20th, most likely a 50th of the money that the kickstarter campaign did - tops. There is absolutely NO reason why the game should be be sold on such a disgraceful platform.

the thread never had a discussion topic to begin with - I am simply expressing why a game sold on Steam should have no place on GOG.

You've sayed more than you should have, which is the problem here. Not just that, but you are being downright disrespectful towards the developers, and for a petty reason no less.
