    While I agree that sinking ships a 'la Sup Com would be outside the art style, I don't believe the same would hold true for TA-style sinking (explosion, followed by the wreckage sinking straight down while remaining horizontal).

    Might pelters get a range upgrade so they might not necessarily have to be built on the shoreline to counter subs? I imagine that if someone has subs they'll soon have orcas (stopping artillery opportunities) and then follow that with narwhals (stopping bombing opportunities).
    I'd rather not go all the way to T2 just to clear a pond :)

    I assume they won't be adding a totally new factory for just two units, maybe later if they decide to give subs a full unit roster ;)

    If the server crashes you will get a message letting to know you were disconnected. What you are experiencing sounds like something else. Are you playing with a local server or online?

    My main thought is subs are going to invalidate other naval units with that balance... What I'd sugges is give the narwhall a longer range but lower dps torpedo than the sub, but without full vision range. That way subs can sneak up on unsupported narwhalls, but narwhalls with scouts would have some opportunity to kite. Due to subs being faster they could also overrun the narwhalls.

    I just think that would be a more interesting dynamic. Also that will keep the orca in play as orcas wreck narwhalls nicely...

    If it's GPU simulated maybe it can be a toggle in graphics settings!!!

    Will a sonar intel layer be added in anyway for the modders? Getting pretty tired of features getting implemented in half-***ed manners and modders not being given the hooks to fix them.

    I made a profile-pic-friendly version. Because I continue to find scones funny in this context.

    Also, I may have slight reservations about subs being targetable by bombers. It seems like this would move the standard naval composition from Orca-Fighter to Barracuda-Fighter, and do relatively little to stop the extreme power that air currently exercises over naval warfare.

    As far as I can tell, by "a lot", you mean one long range T2 ship, the Leviathan (400 range), of course if you've changed the Stingray to have a longer range than the T1 boats, that would be great :)

    On a related note I'd love to see a combat fabber sub and have the bot combat fabbers ability to go underwater removed. I think Statera did this although I don't remember trying that specific unit out.

    Looking forward to when these hit the PTE so I can dive right in!

    Edit: Also I don't care about the bombers dropping bombs on subs thing, I think it could work.

    Edit again: I think if the T2 sub can't be seen on radar, then the T1 shouldn't either because consistency.

    Statera _did_ make a combat fabdication sub, I'm glad that seems to be a popular thing! Also Statera has a torpedo plane (as does RCBM iirc)

    @tvinita would you like to borrow some of our code (and/or model) for the torpedo bomber? ;)

    Playing online, ive had many games where everything but the sound crashes. I mean i can click on units, and hear music and background noise, but every unit and building is frozen.

    Ive posted about it multiple times, and people keep telling me its a server crash.

    Its starting to ruin tue experience for me.

    That's easily fixed luckily. Also maybe people would place less mex points on their maps if there were wrecks ;)
