Problem when a game starts

everything is fine until I start the game. Once I start the game it shows the planets and then the loading planets bar appears and half the chrono cam menu bar appears. after about 3 minutes my commander will land on a planet. I can play the game but the loading planet bar goes right across the middle of the screen and the 1/2 menu bar for the chrono cam is on screen and I cannot remove them. f5 does not help.

Did you run successfully game before? Did you used any mods? If yes try to remove them all.

I have played successfully over a year. I am not using any mods. I reinstalled and still have the problem.

That's weird. This is a telltale sign of a broken mod. Mods don't disappear when reinstalling the game by the way, since they live in the AppData folder, not in your PA folder. Could you try running PA with the --nomods flag? In the UberLauncher, you should be able to click on your username and a menu will pop up where you can set those things. For Steam it's probably just right-clicking on PA.

This mean you may want to manually cleanup your mod directory:

Just remove everything here and this will fix your problem.
