    Thx for the new update :D

    Still noticed that AI fabber or units in general stick to objects in their way after a movement order. Hummingbirds stop immediatley in mid air after a movement order. Ai enemy Commander goes always tier 2 Air as fast as possible and fabbers sometimes reject orders.

    How many love letters do I need to submit to Uber before they have area attack commands for the unit cannon in a fully functional state? I am willing to go to great lengths here...

    He's asking for Unit Cannon Spread.

    Which I am also waiting for, because without it the UC will continue to remain a niche building.

    Wouldn't a area attack command work like most factorys? Telling the units at the end to do that command?

    And to be honest, being a niche building sounds better then a do all, end all invasion building.

    Besides, a UC can only hold 12 units, you need hundreds to actually invade.

    these changes are nice but we really need to see something in Galactic war. It has changed very little since first pass and needs some serious love.

    Tech trees to minimize duplicate tech discoveries.
    AI should actively move and try to take over the map.

    Trust me, anyone who thinks they want to play defence missions in Galactic War... you don't. Go play the Dawn of War Dark Crusade or Soulstorm campaigns and you'll see.

    Whoa, whoa there ign! I said it shouldn't be a niche building - nothing at all about it being the end all be all.

    With the pinpoint accuracy it currently possesses, the UC can snipe unprotected HVTs with ease. Just like nukes, or the SXX, or 25 T1 bombers, or 50 booms.....etc etc.

    What I'm trying to get at is how limited the Unit Cannon is by keeping it super accurate. If you add a spread to the drops, it can be balanced. Want to saturate an area? Build more Unit Cannons! Want to invade a planet? Pick this general area (about the size of a default spawn area) and go! Want to expand somewhere? Launch those engineers, but realize it won't be as precise as using an orbital fabber or astreaus.

    Giving the Unit Cannon some disadvantages besides the economical drain will help it become an option, instead of a necessity. In addition, adding a way to customize that area with attack commands (within limits) will give more control to the player - which is always a good thing for PA.

    I need to practice more to refine this, but so far, my conclusion is as above. It still needs a spread.

    The problem is that UC projectiles are staged missiled and those don't have a hook for standard deviation. I tred to mod it in, but the UC is still pinpoint accurate.

    I'm just gonna throw this up - what if we were to modify the UC to have the same spec sort of like a nuke and then it may do a spread attack - like a nuke can?

    Interesting... Has anyone actually tried to do an area attack with it? Maybe it already works :p That never crossed my mind.

    It doesn't yet. We do plan on adding it after we are done with the current item we're working on. Same guy does both.
