All time high of War Thunder, an f2p "MMO" was 26,228 players.

PA's all time high was 5,480.

this means PA's highest Steam player count is one fifth that of the highest steam population of a (in my opinion) good FREE "MMO".


So you know... doing pretty alright I think.

It was also one of the top sellers this weekend, and APPARENTLY that is based on revenue, not number of copies.

It was two top sellers. PA and PA: Digital Deluxe Edition were being counted separately.

All time high numbers aren't important, It would be great to see how the population is now, and how it will be 2 weeks from now after our friends from the latest sale make up their minds about the game.

The all time high was last weekend just so you know.

All time high does matter, as that may mean it gathered it's most revenue as well.

Will you post when the numbers drop to normal?, 800-900 daily average. Just asking.

That's only online steam players. You also have to count offline steam players, and Uber Launcher players.
I put the offline steam numbers at about 2.5x the online number.
Which leaves us with a ballpark of 13,700 Steam players plus Uber Launcher players.

That many! I'm amazed so many people still play offline.

Now we just need to get those totally outdated and negative steam reviews got rid of...

Well I know, but there are also players that play War Thunder by the launcher alone, so it wouldn't really help in this instance. =P

Ah, I assumed it was a must-play-online-on-steam, as it was an MMO.

Enhanced Steam gives some good "now" player data.

Yet I agree. As players, "all-time high" is completely and totally irrelevant, "copies sold" is irrelevant.
The two most material stats when considering the health of a multiplayer game are:
Average hours played per player
Average players per hour of the day in the past 2 weeks

I wish games started giving out this information, it would be really handy.

It is an "mmo" but it also has a launcher that doesnt require steam, in fact when you get it on steam it installs the game but launching it opens the War Thunder launcher.

Average player count and player retention may matter for players, but revenue wise the most sales is what matters.

According to steam I have only played 48 minutes of PA and the last played was January 7, 2014 because I play through the launcher. So are useful for me.

PA Matches is breaking traffic records thanks to the sale.

I'd say PA has done quite well this past weekish.
