Dox UP

My self and some buddies average players all of us tested Dox vs Tank builds
Dox are micro intensive and fragile , they get destroyed vrs Tanks.
Unless your one of the top 20 players or playing a new player you are not going to be able to use Dox as your go to attack unit.
Dox use as a go to attack unit is limited by map and hoping hes gone dox too.
Dox is very very bad vrs bombers.
Dox visual range is very limited.
Dox dont have a sister AA unit paired with them so they are unviable to hold ground.


Dox are in a bad bad bad place right now vrs tanks. Dox Urgently need a buff, to not do so is forcing us to use Tanks as the army of No Choice.
To put in perspective Every game every played will be like this... build a tank factory ... build some tanks. wonder what hes building .... OH hes building Tanks TOO.... Grab some tanks attack his base .... Win.

Where is my choice UBER Its not like an all air strat is viable is it?
or an all sea strat is viable ?
or an all orbital is viable?
All we need now is some one to put in hover tanks and KABLAMO! Tanks for every occasion.............

Tanks are assault units, dox are not, they are raiders and very good at that.
Dox got nerfed because a few months ago we called this game planetary dox...
If anything dox need to lose their anti air, and be slightly more expensive.

So your saying then we should call the game planetary Tanks instead

so you're telling us the most broken unit in the game is now finally viable and limited to a niche role. Good to know.
Forgive my sarcasm, but this game is "spam x unit to win". Maybe you are lookimg for something different - which is not the case.

We had buffed Dox once. Those were fun times.

Indeed Planetary Annihilation is basically StarCraft on multiple planets and more units: you essentially zerg rush the hell out of whoever you want to kill, One(or multiple in small numbers) Big Boss is not going to win aganist sufficient numbers in RTS games(With some exceptions) barring RTS-mode in Sid Meier's Civ(and other examples).

Do you guys actually read the original post or just skim it and post dumb stuff.

I looked at your posts and they're not really that constructive as with this post as well. Your tone of voice is basically that of a person who whines about something and gives no argument for it. I am staying on topic Dox doesnt need to be buffed your experience in PA does though; if you want a unit to look like dox(apparently tank is what you want to nerf so you can spam dox) get a mod that replaces the tank skin or learn modeling CGs yourself(its really not that hard to learn). If you're going to whine about subjects without any argumentative writing implemented, i suggest you learn how to do that, until then expect your posts be taken with a grain of salt.

You make very valid points. But what about the lobby? Most UP unit in the game.

Look you're whining about a unit thats not even supposed to do the job you want it to do. Use this as a comparison and example: Think as tanks your regular infantry units for your army, Think of dox as those precious special commandos tasked with a specific small job. Do Special ops unit go full face into a base with no holds barred? No.
Can regular armies with standard infantry units go do what Special precious commandos do? No. PA and other games assign units to specific jobs like for example in Sid Meier's Civ Cavalry units are horrible at attacking cities due to their -25% strength when attacking cities but good for moving around and skirmishing with units. Its just a waste of resources if you do something like that(unless you're actually trying to get rid of it if someone gifted it to you or accidentally built it)

I agree, i think @cptconundrum did a mod where all dox get uber cannons, i think that will help balance.
