This game sorta looks like it'll be fun picking up in the future.

Right now I feel like it took a bit from PA which is sorta disapointing.

looks fun never the less though.

P.S know this isn't PA but what do you guys think?

Actually it looks like a very different game to both. I believe from what I've heard is that you have a set base, and you must protect it and probably need to capture other bases to expand.

The best thing I can easily come up with is that it seems very similar to Halo Wars honestly.

It doesn't seem to have anything like strategic zoom. Pass.

for me I feel like at 3:44 it really reminded me of galactic war if it was worked on a fair bit more.

This has so little to do with either game in every aspect except the art style and the fact that it's a RTS.

As previously stated, it's far closer to Halo Wars or maybe even CnC4. Definitely nothing like SupCom or PA.

I Preordered Etherium. Kinda reminds me of SupCom and PA as the OP said.

    It seems to have potential.

It looks really interesting but seriously, nothing like Supcom or Pa other than art style and maaaybe unit count? Much more like Halo war. :p

Eh, More like Star Wars Force Commander :p You can get Command points, and call down reinforcements, upgrade structures, and do research :p

This looks more like something in the style of Warhammer 40.000: Dawn of War just with less base building and you have to capture teritoritories to be able to expand and build tech buildings on Etherium deposits if I'm not mistaken.

Less base building and less zoom results in less Cola_Colins in that games community.

The way this plays is very reminiscent of dark colony.... Which wasn't a bad game imo.

More rts is more rts :) don't really get the link to pa though.

the only reason this makes me think of supcom is that it has large bots in it ...

I don´t see the PA in it.

That being said even as a regular RTS it kind of looks "mediocre".

I will follow this game .....I don´t expect to much though.

Yeah, I don't see the similarity either. It's only an RTS on a planetary and stellar level -- where are people finding the similarities? There's hundreds of these games already, and none of them have anything to do with each other. They are all utterly unique with no connections, and nothing has been based on or inspired by anything else. Everything was developed in a perfect vacuum.

I get your point- from my perspective it doesn't really play (from what I glean from the trailer at any rate) in a way that's really comparable to PA. This is a game about a centralized base, with fixed territories based around 'nodes'. No streaming economy and very limited in terms of build options, limited by a tech tree structure. Nothing against that, it actually looks like it could be good fun.

The 'win by destroying the enemy fleet' had me a bit intrigued though.

I agree that the units and the art style remind me of Supreme Commander quite a lot (that large walker thing looks just like a MonkeyLord). They've obviously taken inspiration from multiple sources. Either way another RTS game is no bad thing.

I played it in beta ( AND ON WINE YEEEEEEEEEEEEEEHAAAAA !!)

...And it was kinda garbage when you've known massive unit numbers and strategic zoom.
