Hotfix build 76557 is live - Unit Cannon Update!

    But... but... there was no epic battle..! It's like winning an 8FFA by being left all alone on the metal planet and just blowing up the other planets in the end with the annihilaser.
    Now I don't know whether I should be happy or sad?

    If it helps, that was from @tvinita 's patch notes he sent me.. I woulda changed it back to bolo if i had noticed.. as a mater of fact.. time to edit OP :p

    The servers may be live but the available download still says 75740 :(
    Thus I'm unable to play any multiplayer games.

    • unit cannon still needs landing disbursement area commands.
    • pod slides into the chamber in the wrong direction. also slides through a "wall"
    • orbital launcher animation still not fixed
    • unit cannon firing into orbital animation is wrong
    • nuke and unit cannon orbital animation is wrong
    • Holkins firing animation is wrong
    • anchor firing animation is wrong (model should be updated)
    • pa.exe stopped working on unit cannon firing. client crash server still running
    • after nuke blast, unit cannon has no wreckage

    Hah, whoops. We had to temporarily revert the build when deploying last night, and we forgot to bump the "latest version" field when we pushed it out again, causing it to link to the old file on the build page. Fixed now. Thank you for reporting it, @nuxas.

    Hey sorian, how likely is it that we'll see some spread for the unit cannon pods? Is it possible to mod it in right now?

    Server wise, it would be fairly easy to add some spread to the Unit Cannon. The reason we held back on it for now was we would also have to make that spread visible to players because any units that fail to find a valid landing spot die and that would be frustrating.

    I don't think it is area attack command that people are wanting. They just want the unit cannon to automatically spread the landing point of all pods. What should happen is that all the pods land at different points but more of certain units can be contained within one pod.

    For example
    One slammer per pod. This would means the slammers would be spread out on landing.
    3 fabbers per pod. This would mean the 3 fabbers would land pin point.

    What would be even better is that the fabbers land in the centre and combat units are spread in a circle around the fabbers.

    I also think the unit cannon should be a lot more expensive so that you can't spam lots of them. But you should also be able to build more pods per unit cannon.
