Well you only have emotional arguments, which is typical.

And now we're on to ad-homs. Remember, attack the arguments, not the people making them.

Personal stance: Target is a private corporation, it can decide what to stock for whatever reason it wants. People who want the game can and will buy it elsewhere. The only people Target are hurting with this decision are themselves.

If this were a government ban, it'd be a different matter entirely.

The next petition will be a ban on the new "starwars" movie in target for it's violence towards the sith,

I mean sith are just like prostitutes, THEY made the choice to follow the dark side and do the wrong thing, no-one forced them into their life choices except themselves.
There are always other options to choose from but if were too lazy or unable to find another way at the time it doesn't mean that doing the wrong thing is our only choice!!!

If someone gets abused in real life because they made a choice to follow the wrong path then stiff fkn **** !!!!
We live with the consequences of our actions !!

I'm not sure how to respond to that code of ethics.

I'm not condoning violence toward anyone!
But my point is those whom choose to walk the path they choose need to be understanding that there are consequences for their actions.

    Example,
I'm poor broke and need food for my family and money for rent, I have had the chance to become a drug dealer or prostitute!
If i took the job and sold drug's or sold myself and got raided by other dealers, prostitutes, police or anything,
Is it my fault because i saw the only option to survive was to do the wrong thing!!
Is it the fault of the world for forcing me there?
Is it the fault of the people who are being vigilantes and whatever...

    Who's to blame???

Not really the point. The point is that 44,000 people were dumb enough that they thought they could stop these games from selling and ignorant of the fact that you can blow a man's brains out, just like every other game (well almost).

Video games should not be held accountable for peoples real life decisions and the consequences of those decisions, is what i'm trying to say in an odd way i guess.

A very odd way, because what you actually said was:

The only ones to blame are the ones that get abused, because they made their choices.

Which is victim blaming, and horrendously wrong.

Just wait for the strawman to come out in force. I have my popcorn in the microwave waiting to be cooked.

You can put the popcorn away - threads get locked if they go too much that way.

I think you misunderstood what i was trying to get across.
You've taken it out of context by putting "The only ones to blame" to it.
I never said it was solely the person who puts themselves in that situations fault.
I was just saying that if you make the choice to do the wrong thing then expect bad things to happen.
    There are always other options.
also my statement is about the people who choose to do these sorts of things and not toward those forced into these choices.

The ones exempt from this statement would be people forced into the situation, (example, people being abducted then forced to do so).

    You didn't say that.

You also said "there are always other options". Wrong.

But it's okay, I'm not going to change your opinion and I don't want to make this personal by accident. You are who you are, and I hope your viewpoint is illuminated at some point.

    We all see things differently,

But these are the reason's why i have stayed away from a life of crime and doing the wrong thing when there have been no other supposed options.
I see it as karma, if i make a bad life choice and choose to do the wrong thing knowing that it's the wrong thing, then i expect bad things to come of it.
I have literally starved myself to feed my family based off of that moral.

But i know you wouldn't be making it personal gorbles if we were to discuss it further.
I don't see either point of view as being wrong too, we each interpret things differently and see the world from different points of view.

Yes, why do the 44k people only have a problem with how women are treated? So, women, they want equal rights, but they want to be protected like KIDS in public media. Congrads, I will now treat WOMEN like KIDS until this is changed. Make me not to. Earn it.

Also, 1.3m people bought GTA5 first month it came out. That is, 1.3m people who didn't mind the game? That is an OVERWHELMING MAJORITY compared to 44k. 44k is not an impressive number. Why do the fractional 10% of people, get to decide what is and is not in stores. You know what is inappropriate? Loudmouths who shove whatever they want on to others, kicking and screaming. This is right alongside of laws that allows imprisonment of gays just for being gay, or christians for being christian. This is, person X wants something, they force it on everyone else.
And check out this. This has 60k petitions. MAJORITY @Gorbles , Majority. Not them. Us. They are a loud minority.

Threads like this one are really how I came to understand what feminism is all about. Cultural bias circus out here.

People make so aggravating assumptions it drives me f*****g crazy, because these things actually matter.

"Why do these women only care about women." Nobody said they did, it is your assumption if you think like that, and even if they did, SO WHAT. Do you want these women to look after you too? I don't think you people have been out there in the real world, like work life for example to see how cultural bias s*** like racism and sexism actually work. It is not in what is said, but what is left unsaid usually.

I feel it is pointless even discussing with people who make such trivial fallacies such as in this thread.

In this thread: some women actually standing up against glorification of violence and prostitution, and all you guys go whining "they are so selfish and biased". Why don't you people get over yourselves.

For the record, I don't think banning things is necessarily the right way to go about it, but I support the cause of discussing what is entertainment and why is for example murdering prostitutes (OR HETEROSEXUAL WHITE MALES SEE NO BIAS) considered appropriate, but other things like child pornography are not. Where do you draw the line?

The strawman arguments have been here all along: "why do these women only care about women".

It's pretty damn clear that they don't care about men since the only difference between this game and other games is the gender of the people you can kill.

And how exactly does this petition hinder your status as a man? Or are you just offended that this petition does not address you specifically as a man? Do you also oppose animal rights because WHAT ABOUT HUMANS?

Women fighting for women's rights does not equal not caring about men's rights. If you have a problem with killing of men in GTA, go ahead and make a petition, but don't whine when other people actually do something positive about things they see as problematic.

Saying as a man that women's rights activists do not care about my rights as a man sounds so incredibly ignorant, hypocritical and entitled.

Women's rights activists fight for women's rights by definition. It is not "selfish", it is what they do. Men's rights activists fight for men's rights, though in practice they are usually douchebags who just oppose feminism because they don't understand it.
