Sometimes I have no internet, but I still want to play PA- against AI. so- when w gon' get dat yo

    Also, are we?

The only thing I can is a problem is piracy.

and even then, you could come up with a random string

    3845934023ioejfdgkewjelfgseawfkldm

that looks good. Now, write it to binary file. Have it saved as that randomness if it is a confirmed copy or saved as "false" if not. that way, people can't just change it to something they know (true). Then change it every update to correct piracy. boom.

That's just what I would do.

If I'm not connected to internet, I can't play. You have to log in first. So.... back to my question, when are we getting the ability to play when we have no internet?

    Yes you can.

    Click on single player.

    It's mind blowing, I know.

It seems likely that his computer doesn't meet the minimum requirements and it is defaulting to Playfab even for single player.

@bengeocth Try going into settings and turning on the local server.

Be aware that this means your PC likely has less than the 8gb ram required for hosting a server. It might not run very well on large games.

It runs better than playfab on galactic war size maps, when you have dual core 1.8ghz, 8g ddr2 ram, and 1g gpu even if year old.

    @jables

As part of your new player/usability update, would it be worth adding a tooltip on the single player button in cases like this explaining why it was disabled?

Oh, wow, you are really just below the minimum required 8GB because your graphics cards steals a huge amount. Uber did build in some leeway, but not that much. Anyway, it's likely you'll be fine with the local server set to on. It's just that you are just barely below the minimum requirements.

He's right, you still have to log in with the launcher before you can play the game, but you can launch it offline through PAMM, which I find odd.
EDIT: launching from the executable directly works too.

You can't use the normal PA launcher to play offline.
Go to the following directory and launch the exe here to play offline.
    C:\Program Files (x86)\Planetary Annihilation\Planetary Annihilation\stable ("Launch PA.exe in this folder").

You guys can proceed to thank me now :)

Good job mane. I've been ignoring the launcher since before the glitch where it would always update. Now I just use it to update.

Uber should look into changing the launcher so there is a "launch offline" option and if you click on "update" or "play" options then it should ask for a login.
