So as the title says PA is crashing when my commander hits the ground in the begining of the game. I am not the most knowledgeable about computers so I don't know what I can do about this. My settings are all on low or off It did work durring early access but took a break then came back to this problem. I have not installed any mods I have reinstalled the game with the same results. Below is my DxD file that I know will help but that is about all I know. Any help would be appriciated since I am playing again to join my friend but as of right now I couldn't even play past the 43 second mark.
Well, here's your problem: Those drivers are well over three years old. Unfortunately, ASUS deemed your card not worthy of driver updates. Underneath however, it's still an AMD-card, so you should be able to just install the latest drivers from AMD, which you can find here: http://support.amd.com/en-us/download/desktop?os=Windows 7 - 64
so i got the drivers and it helped a lot but now it crashes randomly. Have had it crash aroudn start, aroudn 10 minutes and 15 minutes.
Well, getting closer. I noticed you have a non-standard DPI setting (it's at 125%). Could you try setting it back to 100% and see if the crashing still occurs? Also here is a list of software that has been known to interfere with PA. Do you use anything on this list? http://steamcommunity.com/app/233250/discussions/2/558751813508748383/
As for the list of programs I dont use any of them and dor DPI I really have no idea how to change that but will look it up. Any other ideas?
thanks for the help, the game isn't crashing as much now and I can actually play now! Now if i could figure out what makes it crash....
So it crashes less with the default DPI settings? The reports on the non-standard DPI settings were mostly flickering screen and jumpy mouse cursors, but not crashes as far as I know. I just wanted to rule everything out. But yeah, if you find a reproducible way of crashing PA, then that would be most helpful.
I've been having better luck with it now and no where near as much crashing thankfully. Thanks for all the help...now only if i canactually get better T-T kinda suck
Well, for the sucking part, use of the ChronoCam is highly recommended. It'll show you what your opponents did and how their economy was doing at any point during the game. From that you can figure out how you were beaten and prevent it next time.
