What if the advanced combat fab was like the necromancer in TA? Find a wreckage on the ground and revive it. No this is not a sneaky way to get unit wreckage back... maybe... ^^;
It'd be a nice way to diversify the combat fabs, currently I don't even know why the T2 one exists. If it's designed to be a frontline combat support unit, maybe it should be able to build frontline turrets, like the old UEF combat fabber.
yeah, but what about a t2 combat bot who could "eat" enemy Units an heal itself while doing it? Like lifesteal using the reclaim mechanism ^^
But wouldn't those revived units stumble around slugishly, looking to eat some "Chiiiiips"... Back on topic. Yes, the ability to revive units would be one way the Advanced Combat Fabber could diversify itself from it#s basic counterpart. "Rebuild" rather then "Reclaim" for units wreckage. It would also be right in the Fabbers job description: It is already there to bring "production power to the frontline", so you have less need to bring more units in from your base. Currently it does so by healing units. Additionall reviving units could be another way to do that. However doing so would require to re-implement vehicle wreckage. And it won't be entirely static (since it can be "revived"), meaning it would require tracking of the state closer to a life unit. Maybe give those wrecks a sort of maximum revive time? Also, how would this interact with buildings? What about the "wreckage of previous fights" that can sometimes be found on battlefields?
