now, i recently saw this game and got it gifted to me by a friend only to load up the game and then receive the same stupid message over and even after uninstalling and reinstalling i still get the same thing. this game is brand new after receiving it as a gift but i still get the same "there are no regions available for this build version" constantly, i have tried logging out and logging back into steam but it doesnt help in any way. Im not exactly the most knowledgeable when it comes to PC's but any help would be appreciated.

Post your DxDiag. It could be a hardware, or even a software issue.

I think it is because you have an old version of the game. Download the PA Launcher, and update to the latest version.

    https://store.uberent.com/download/pa

I think that is the right link but not 100%, someone else will likely know better. It has been long since I reinstalled the game:)

The "no region" thing is usually the result of PA being unable to retrieve the list of regions. Do you have a firewall? If yes, could you temporarily disable it and see if that solves the problem. If it does, then you'll need to add PA as an exception to the firewall.

As for your laptop, crashes like that are usually caused by outdated drivers. Post your DxDiag.txt for the laptop as well.

That person is on Steam, so that should keep his game up to date already. No need for the UberLauncher.

Ok I tried the firewall thing of the desktop and didn't do a lot, same no region message - I've returned to my laptop cause at least it works to a degree - the problem with my laptop is that it crashes after 3 minutes and gives me a "PA.exe" has stopped working error message and I have no idea why - will post laptop dxdiag as soon as its finished a Windows update

Hmm, the region thing is definitely a network issue. It should really have worked with the firewall being off. Which firewall do you use? Actually, could you also try it with both the firewall and the antivirus turned off? Sometimes the antivirus software blocks as well.

There is also one more thing you could check, which is to verify the files. I don't have Steam so I copied this from some website, but I hope these instructions are ok:
    1. Click on Properties
    2. Go to the Local Files tab
    3. Click Verify Integrity of Game Cache
    4. Prepare to wait 10-15 minutes while it checks.

For your laptop, it's indeed the drivers.
They are quite old as you can see. To update Intel drivers download and install "win64_153330.exe" from Intel website:
    https://downloadcenter.intel.com/Detail_Desc.aspx?DwnldID=24329&lang=eng&ProdId=3712

If you get "not validated for this computer" error download ZIP version of driver ("win64_153330.zip") from same page and then install it using this instruction:
    http://steamcommunity.com/app/233250/discussions/2/558749190911446231/

I should probably warn you that you are a teensy tiny bit below the recommended specs of 4GB of RAM because your graphics card steals a portion of it. Small systems should be ok, but don't go play 6 planet systems or anything.

ok basically the intel driver wont work on my laptop because my laptop is an asus model - meaning it has a specialist driver so it requires a specific update - i've found the model and make of driver on the asus site so im gonna update it and see what happens

That is what the 'zip' instructions are for....

The graphics component is standard, however the 'normal' installer wont work...

The custom Asus one is likely too old. Laptop manufacturers are notorious for providing outdated drivers.

From what I've seen, there is a 95% probability it will.

I'm still no sure what the deal is with your desktop though. Sorry you got hit by a double whammy.
