Ranked 1v1 is live!

What about 2v2, 3v3 etc ranked? I guess you could make them play on random systems too, since starting locations are less important there.

Symmetrical maps are coming very soon actually.

Also, on 2v2+ ranked. I propose counting arranged team and random team ranks separately, and not match them against each other if at all possible. They made this distinction in coh2 about a year ago and it made for much better games.

Today I lost a game (to a bomber snipe ) and got downgraded from Uber to Silver. The next game I won again and was promoted back to Uber. So, the ranking system seems somewhat simplistic, though it does correctly recognize my uber skillz

I suspect that there's simply a small gap between the leagues at this early stage. A month from now people will be complaining about how their rank never changes

Played 6 matches before I was ranked... some were against Uber-ranked people (huh?)... clean sweep... placed in Uber rank. Um... really? Okay, I guess I'm not as terrible as I thought I was.

Ps Uber: I really really would like my name, "Sovereign" back now that I am going to be playing more multiplayer. I lost the name twice, for reasons unknown, and the person who stole it should have to just deal with losing the name.

I guess the ranking system needs some tweaking. We'll see.

1v1 also has my favourite PA experience so far. I land in lobby and my opponent ggs before we even begin (we still play of course). It's great to be overestimated

I think you might simply be underestimating yourself in regards to the general skill level in the game. Without knowing the percentage spread, or the absolute numbers in each bracket, it's hard to say. After all, you're number 40 on the PA Stats Uberskill ladder. If top 40 doesn't make it in then Uber would be a tiny bracket indeed.

If we really wanted Uber to be elitist then you could reserve it for the top 10/20/40/whatever and add a diamond bracket. I'd question whether the population is big enough to justify that though.

well ok, maybe you are right. We will see once we have leaderboards

but then the difference in skill and experience between me and top 5 is huuuuuuuuuge! so, im really not "uber". But okay, the system probably also needs some time to adjust, when i play more games i will get in the right category eventually.

Yes there is a huge disparity between the top 5, top 10 and top 20 players. However there is also a huge disparity between the top 100 players and the entirety of the player base.

You could extend this further to the Top 1 player
