Please for the sake of this great game, make a new UberLauncher. It doesnt work and prevents people from playing this game. This is no alpha anymore so this is completely unacceptable. Here is my experience: UberLauncher didnt work anymore. After trying everything (drivers, vcredist, directX,...) i decided to reinstall Windows 7. Even on a brand new win7 x64 the launcher doesnt show. Its there in the taskbar, but you see no window itself. I would guess, that win7x64 is the most common system atm. How can it be, that the launcher doesnt support that?? What i had to do to get it running: - Install vcredist x86 and x64 - Install direcxtX websetup !TWICE! Now it works. I am an IT guy, so i guess i can handle some problems, but how do you think an ordinary player without IT bachground can play this game? Dont get me wrong. I love this game, but please get this stupid launcher running again.
Launcher using PA engine and Coherent so game have exactly same dependencies anyway. DirectX redistributable required by Coherent on Windows, hopefully this dependency will be dropped one day.
There is one requirement it is not properly isntalling, the old DX files from 2010. Try manualyl isntalling it (highly recommended on any game Windows past XP anyway): https://forums.uberent.com/threads/uber-launcher-needs-dx-2010-redistributeable.64848/ Especially on fresh instalaltions this can be an issue.
Thanks for your answers, but these are workarounds and not a solution. There is 2 possible ways: 1 - Uberlauncher includes a way to install the missing files automatically 2 - Uberlauncher is being reprogrammed to not use things that arent included in windows You cant expect any newbie to read forum posts just to be able to run the game.
Well to be fair these dependencies are required for many other things as well, as I and many others never had issues, so something else did install the stuff already. But yeah the installer for the launcher should package all these requirements or at least should push people towards installing them.
Well, it shouldn't be too hard for Uber to include it. From the Coherent Labs website: I'm still a bit surprised that Coherent depends on DirectX in the first place, since it's supposed to be a cross-platform UI.
As you know Coherent is based on Chromium / Chrome and does use it for ANGLE on Windows. I doubt there is way to disable it and anyway it's will be pretty untested and won't work properly.
I think thats it.These dll files arent included in regular directX11 so they should be somehow included in the launcher.
Doesn't the UberLauncher autologin for you? (Disclaimer: I don't have Windows, so I have now idea how it's supposed to work)
You mean a "remember full login information" checkbox? Would not be bad. Steam already has auto-login. And logs you into playfab too. PAMM uses the feature of the Uber-Launcher to auto log you in (and can store your login information). Of course PAMM is not a Game Updater, so always using it to start the game is not a good idea.
There is a version check at PAMM startup, pretty sure it uses something similar to https://uberent.com/launcher/clientversion?titleid=4 to check current version. Since the game now gets updated once in a week only, it's not a huge bummer.
