    I tried making my own Commander using some of my HighQuality Mech models.
    Unfortunately polycount is off the charts and way too high for PA


    If my mech models were much lower in poly count id make it now!

    Yah, all our commanders are around the 3k mark. :) 116k probably won't perform very well without a TON of poly reduction.

    This one will be for sale once they are final. These are still somewhat work in progress. Rest we are still waiting on responses to see if we can sell them or not.

    First one.... INSTA BUY! I allready had massive trouble keeping my money in my pockets with the last batch of commanders but if that first one gets in the Armory, my vending machine will have to be stored in the garage for a couple of weeks.

    Haha.. y'know, it's not impossible. Depends on if they open up the API a lot more or not though. But imagine a mech commander game with hundreds of infantry / tanks etc and the majestic mechs towering above them all...

    BTW Max - with good use of normals and some serious poly reduction passes, bet you could get that
    I'd expect anything under 5k (and possibly as high as 8 - 10k) will probably be fine, as long as there aren't a million of em in game at once. Not sure where the fill rate starts to kill us.

    Even Max's can probably get under 10k, with some good poly reduction and good use of normals.

    Graphic animation models makes those poly counts look tiny..

    The mech pic i posted above was over 250,000 polys when i first converted it from NURBS to poly, i got it down to 116,000 polys after 3 separate poly reductions :(
