Your AMD graphics drivers are 6 months old. That is way within the range of out of date as far as bugs with PA are concerned. You also have a Intel HD 2500 GPU on the I5. Also update those drivers and make very sure the CoherentUI is properly running on the AMD GPU (something you normally have to set in the better GPU's control programm).
Problem: game is running without any problems, but.... After finishing a game, chronocam is not working and UI is not reacting anymore! I can still se the 3D world (planets) and can switch between the planets, but the menu is not reacting anymore. I am using a notebook: GT650M, latest driver isntalled Intel Corei7-4700MQ 8 GB DDR3-RAM Windows 7 Ultimate Game is installed on SSD I had no problems before the latest game update!
Updating the AMD drivers did the trick. Couldn't find anything related to the Coherent UI on the CCC though. Anyway, thanks for the help and congrats for the game, it's great fun!.

trying to use the chronocam results in the game becoming nonresponsive System Configuration: Windows 7 64 bit 16GB main RAM nvidia GTS 680M 4GB dedicated RAM- latest stable nvidia driver release intel i7 processor metabox clevo desktop replacement also what is the coherent UI does it have something to do with which graphics card I set PA to run on? If so I already set my computer to force PA to use my nvidia gpu. Edit: I set my computer nvidia control to global . i.e. have all applications run off the nvidia gpu. Chronocam seems to be working now. So I guess anyone with graphics switching is going to have headaches?
Same issue for me...Chronocam used to work but as of a few days ago it doesn't. Disabled all mods and get the same issue. Windows 8 64 bit Geforce 770gtx (drivers up to date) AMD 8350 CPU 8 GB RAM
Chronocam Button -> I can't do a dang thing other than pan my camera around and look at the pretty explosions.
Sorry for multi-post. Having same issue, here is my dxDiag.txt. I'm running this on a desktop w/ a nVidia card (so...the problem is not just limited to Intel devices).
Just happened to me: However after roughly 30 seconds it fixed itself and worked fine. i5 3550, 16GB Ram, Radeon HD 7850/2g Catalyst 14.9
Feeling truly stupid now. I'm using a desktop PC with only one video card so none of the coherent UI forcing stuff worked. The "first thing you should check" recommendation given to everyone who reports this kind of thing is update your video card drivers. Having done so it now magically works.
If you have a Intel i3, i5 or i7 you have a Intel HD GPU. It is integrated into the CPU, so it is hard to not have it Intel HD replaces the conventional "motherboad integrated GPU" approach. And it is not even a bad card in the fist place. Just a bit buggy with ChronoCam right now... And yes, updating your GPU drivers is the first thing you should do when having issues. In fact it is solution point 0 in my know issues list: https://forums.uberent.com/threads/know-issues.65155/
Concerning the CoherentUI causing Chronocam to crash, are there any workarounds for desktop users using the Intel Core i3, i5, or i7 CPUs? I'm using an i5 2500k CPU @3.3 GHz with an Nvidia GTX 560 Ti, but as far as the Nvidia control panel is concerned the Nvidia card is the only graphics card, which makes forcing CoherentUI to use the discrete card rather difficult. There's no option to force programs to use specific graphics cards at all. DxDiag attached. Unless Intel and Nvidia released new drivers in the past few minutes, all graphics drivers are up-to-date.
Having this exact issue on an I7 with an updated Nvidia graphics card. Sorry can't post dxiag right now as at work, will update later.
For me that was the only time I ever saw it for more than half a second, does it fix itself for you as well if you just wait a minute or two?
No for me once I try to use chronocam everything becomes totally unresponsive and I have to crash out. Drove me bonkers and tried turning off all mods and reinstalling but it is def. in vanilla. I didn't wait for longer than 1 minute in my tests.
Well, I feel dumb. Turns out that somewhere along the line, likely shortly before I even posted in this thread, I had already solved the problem. I just didn't realize the problem was solved because I was primarily using the TotalBiscuit v. Crank game as a quick benchmark, reasoning that the most viewed replay was also likely to be the most reliable. I still can't open that replay without getting a crash to desktop (a subtly different failure state than the interface lock I was experiencing in all other cases), so who knows what's going on there. I can open other 40+ minute games just fine, so maybe they tiled the entire planet with Union Jacks, or something. As to what ended up working, it was likely updating the video drivers. (Nvidia and Intel.) It's possible it could have been some obscure graphical setting in Nvidia control panel, but messing with the obvious settings like the PhysX configuration doesn't seem to reproduce the telltale UI lock. I'm going to assume the driver updates did the trick. I suppose the lesson here is to always have multiple test cases, and that user bug reporting is unreliable at the best of times. Sorry about that.
