My thoughts on recent developments(HR, PA, and Uber)

Have you been reading my posts? You said the perspective was disgusting, I disagreed and than provided you with a detailed explanation of the rational for the different perspective. On the subject, your view seemed closed and I was merely explaining the perspective to open your world view. To me rape is disgusting, racism is disgusting ... exercising free will over ones own money by not supporting a business is not disgusting.

i said back then that i find it disgusting of people wanting others to fail .. that is not a perspective this simply is illwishing torwards others ...
like saying i want you to lose your job, i want your dreams to never come true, to be hit by a car, hit in the face, be robbed, fall into mudd etc.

A: On this forum? Its literally 5 or 6 (7 at the outside) that are actually only posting truly negative crap and have been for some months (long before the release), there's so few I could recall all their names. On steam; yea I see your point, but a great many of those malcontents don't even OWN the game and have not played it.

B: It was pitched as a primarily Multi-player game, was certain you of all people were aware of this.

The few names I have not mentioned actually said they wanted projects/uber to fail, some want everything they touch to fail - there a number of posts to this affect over the last little (long) while if you care to look. For the record I wasn't talking about you in that statement unless you consider yourself an aggressive-toned forum-goer/ uber-hater with a long held grudge carried over from a different game, and assorted chips on assorted shoulders.

There's way more than 6 or 7 people saying this. And while a few of them have said they want Uber to fail, it is very much the exception, not the rule. And again, you need to look beyond the forums and even beyond steam. Look at reddit, Kickstarter, and just about every blog post and review talking about PA.

The game was pitched as an RTS game. RTS games are mainly played offline. Members of Uber, having made several RTS games in the past, know that.

Sigh. I was talking about the exceptions (5,6,7 or so) (the ones I was tired of.....), not the people who are upset. There's a significant difference between a disappointed person having a moan and a militant poster with an axe to grind. Its fairly obvious multi-player is the games focus, all things considered - yes they should be catered to.. I play skirmish so I want single-player and have it...but I just do not understand the need for a save feature, it'd be nice to have it I just can't see an application, games are over in hour at most.

You haven't seen the militant posters of elsewhere. Although uncommon here, they abound anywhere that isn't here.

I guess there's been some miscommunication then. I got the impression that you were saying there were only 5 or so people talking about things they don't like about what's going on and saying all of the criticism was invalid or something. (there have been people who have said stuff like that)

A save feature is what a player who plays the ai and stuff wants though? At least more so than a pvp game.

I think there's only one rts atm that let's you save online matches, don't remember what... Though I believe starcraft 2 is supposed to get it?

Alsooo... Most people who play Pa, play it against ai (same for most other RTS games)

Been on steam forums, there's a lot more anger/hate (some of it/most of it baseless) yes, but the there are still only small number standout names that go on for pages and pages constantly posting, and at least one is confirmed as not even owning or playing it.
True, the complainers seem to be the majority there, and most do bad mouth the game/company, but generally they just say their piece and move on - its the stubborn few who remain behind to form the vanguard of uber-hate that really irritate me - to the point where I foolishly posted on the steam forums and even more foolishly subscribed to the convo..... :{

In ubers defense it is done in a very cartoony almost sarcastic way, the title, graphics choice, and premise of the game help make it sarcastic which should make it more palpable to people against releasing apocalypses.

If my comment didn't make logical sense the way you interpreted it, maybe you should expand your horizons and interpret it a different way.

When I said 'their' I was referring to the developers and not the LTD company they are currently a part of. Total Annihilation, Supreme Commander and Supreme Commander 2 all had slowdown issues.
