Using team colors just doesn't look good imo.

Perhaps make it optional? Else you'll just have people modding it back in.

It was a popular mod, that's why (I believe) Uber changed it.

While I'm nostalgic for Total Annihilation's green nanolathes, the different colours look awesome too, and are great visual indicators for who is building what. I don't like having to rely on icons to tell me whose units/buildings are whose.

Debatable. Basically what erotic burrito said, but i'm leaning towards keeping it the way it is.

id be ok with it being a selectable option, but for some reason the light side of the planet is still way too bright for me and the nano lathes and build outlines just dont show up as good in the light, but the green ones look amazing no matter the light. :shrugs:

Team color particles and effects look much more polished imo. Especially the mods made by @Fr33Lancer

I think if we were to take a poll the majority of people would vote no to default green lathes.

I would prefer full team colour (like the mod did) but they went and did it halfway.

Wellllllll, I like it, but some colors can be hard to see against the planet surface. Tan for instance, on a desert world.
As with most things, make it a toggle!

There's a mod on PAMM that changes the colors back to green, go grab that really quick.

Competitively, it is better colored. Anything that "shares color across team" leads the slightest possibility of confusion.

Then again, the color combinations are "unreliable" in competition, as some have colorblind issues that make half the color combos unuseable.

Couldn't you just, like, pick green as a team color? :D

I can't find it, what's it called? All I can find are a bunch of old ones that switch it to the team color.

EDIT: I've searched through all of the available mods and am confident it isn't there :/

Tis a bug. I had the same issue. Search for the mod "AMD Super Brightness Fix" by nixempestas & superouman, and it should make everything much better,

Omfg, imagine seeing bacon everytime you build something. My brain would just die at some point.
