Playing Galactic War at 720p certain tech upgrades are too large to click 'accept' or 'reject', eg. the advanced defense structures tech or anything with a longer description. I think this only really becomes an issue once you have a 2nd row or more of tech slots available. The fix is to save and exit the game, change to 1080p, start the game back up, then accept/reject the tech. Then I'll usually quit and reload back in 720p because I can't be bothered also adjusting my mouse speed to suit the higher resolution. It's a bit of a faff but not unfixable for me, although it would screw over anyone running on a 720p max display, and while certainly an edge case I'd appreciate if this were fixed. Maybe make the UI moveable or be able to minimise the description area for GW tech. I have my PC connected to a 50" TV and I run the desktop at 720p because otherwise using the desktop and text heavy things like web browsing are a strain on the eyes. I usually game at 1080p but PA only uses the desktop resolution. Other than criminally under utilising my PC this usually isn't a problem, it only appears to be an issue with Galactic War.
What exact resolution are you using? As long as you have 1280x720 or higher (while still in a wide aspect ratio) you shouldn't have this issue. Rather than lowering your resolution, you should adjust the DPI for your OS.
Indeed. Lowering the Resolution will actually make it harder to read as the monitor has to scale up the image. Give it the proper, native resolution. And then maybe up DPI numbers/font sizes.
1280x720 That was the first thing I did a couple of years ago when I realised I was straining my eyes, but it causes issues with some other games. That's also rare (eg. Red Faction: Armageddon) but when it crops up it can be quite hard to figure out. Thank you sincerely for the suggestions but I'm happy with the way my computer is set up and I'm not that put out using the solution I currently use as everything loads instantly, but this is something Uber should fix eventually IMO. It's very low priority for me, I just wanted to make the issue known
