    The replaced the model with a worse looking one.

    They did that with nearly all early models.

    Could be a more asphetic thing, where making it more abstract looked better then more detailed complex models.

    the now being energy storage looks Like energy storage that just looks Like a more complex structure than something energy storage Would resemble. :D
