Well that is an improvement at least! I've not heard of anyone running into problems with sound before though?
So, I've been helping him in the German subforum and I asked him for his logs there (after getting round the silly oh-no-that's-not-an-english-character-in-your-path-argh-no-logs-for-you bug). The logs are filled with: Code: [17:34:42.844] INFO client::ClientGame::setMusic /Music/Music_battle [17:36:07.859] INFO client::ClientGame::setMusic /Music/Music_Base [17:36:57.125] INFO client::ClientGame::setMusic /Music/Music_battle [17:36:57.125] ERROR Unable to play cue: 23 [17:36:59.078] ERROR Unable to play cue: 23 [17:38:12.203] ERROR Unable to play cue: 23 [17:38:14.203] ERROR Unable to play cue: 23 [17:38:15.203] ERROR Unable to play cue: 23 [17:39:14.344] ERROR Unable to play cue: 23 [17:39:14.344] ERROR Unable to play cue: 23 [17:39:15.344] ERROR Unable to play cue: 23 [17:40:02.422] ERROR Unable to play cue: 23 [17:40:04.469] ERROR Unable to play cue: 23 [17:40:05.437] ERROR Unable to play cue: 23 It seems to me "23" is an error code of sorts. Has anybody seen that before? Could it be a corrupted music file due to the use of the alternative launcher? Seems unlikely though. Doesn't it do check summing?
I solved the problem. I have installed the game on Steam. Although I have when I play no log file, but music. Only drawback, my Toushpad no longer works and the Intel Driver has updated itself back (to an older version)
You seem to have a cursed computer. I'm glad it works on the really old Intel driver though. So good for you!
Lol If you have a cursed laptop it seems that I have a cursed desktop. I just can't run PA laucher at all!! I've done every step ppl told you. I was trying not to use STEAM for lauching the game... it seems like the very uberent laucher of the game is cursed. Not my beatiful pc <3 hahaha.
Without stutter on high resolution. Once again many thanks to all who helped me here. Alone I probably would not have succeeded.
I was talking about the Intel driver that keeps reverting itself to the old version and his touchpad no longer working. The Uberlauncher just depends on too much stuff (DirectX, graphics drivers, etc.). That's why there is an alternative launcher. So are you running the game through steam now or you just cannot play at all?
Actually I'm having a hard time getting the steam code for my game I'm a early baker, purchased from the uber store a long long looong time ago (lol ), don't know really what to do... :/
I open'd a ticket asking for the steam code for my game.... not sure how much time support is taking to respond these days...
Yeah, that seems to happen to lots of people... They're 14 days behind at the moment. So that will take some time, I'm afraid. We can try to get the Launcher to work for you though. So, please post your DxDiag.txt. (Press <Win>+R. Type dxdiag and save all the information to file).
Surprisingly support answered me this morning! I'll have to share this with you guys.... I'll attach two files here, the before and after. I was trying to run the game with this ancient gpu. And it happen'd to work with the HD 2000 intel graphics. This is my father's PC... I played a few minutes here and it seems ok (in low settings). DeathByDenim... thx for the support. You rock.
Ancient, yeah, I'll say! That NVidia was released eight years ago! You certainly have the latest drivers for it, but those drivers are already almost two years old as well. It doesn't matter though, since the Intel HD2000 you have is actually faster than the "dedicated" GeForce card you have, so you are better off chucking the NVidia card. The Intel HD2000 isn't great though as you've already discovered. You might want to consider buying a new graphics card altogether. Do you still want to try getting the launcher to work or are you happy running it through Steam for which I gather you have a code now? (There are slightly newer drivers for the Intel here by the way.)
Steam is working just fine, pal, thx . Wich gpu would you recommend for this pc? I'm not looking for spending a lot of money on this pc, just enough to put some flavor on my father's gameplays . lol. That NVidia's had earned some medals during it's long duty life .
I'm sure. As for what card to recommend, I am not sure about that. Fortunately for you, there is a whole thread about that stuff, called "The 'help me choose hardware to run PA' megathread". The consensus seems to be to get NVidia with lots of DDR5 VRAM (at least 2 GB). Anyway, I recommend you read that thread and post there if you still have questions about what card would be best for your setup.
