    Here's the tree.

You can also download an image version here.

I have plans to add some popups and filters and whatnot to it, and it's in progress, but it's not ready yet.

However, I have next week set aside as a PA Free Week (aside from the forums), so I'm just publishing it now so it'll be out in the world for a week.

The Boom doesn't have an image. Other than that, great work!

You should fix the orbital fabber to show that it also makes the teleporter

EDIT: P.S. You should make the background image of the site the annihilaser/planet smash (small suggestion)

That's cool. Always thought it was a bit heavy handed to jump between units for comparision before, but that tree solves that issue.

    btw: Two kestrel's.^^

very nice. You should however make sure the links are right as it now suggests that every advanced fab can build any advanced fac instead of only his type. but thats it as far as I see ^^

Edit: And for the sake of nitpicking.. The Icons of the advanced fabs in the advanced buildings tab are 1 pixel too high :p

I think you've done a really good job and it looks really clean. The only one thing I have to point out is for some of the background images, they have a lot of things going on in them so it kinda takes you attention away from the tree. Maybe turning down the opacity on the background photos, to idk, say 75 %. Other than that it looks great!

That's what the top section is for.

I only have so much room and having a zillion lines going everywhere doesn't quite work.

    I've wrestled with the overlay opacity a bunch. It needs to be recognizable and interesting, but readable text. Right now it's at 70%;

It's just a general categorization. Technically pelters could be used offensively as well.

Almost put them in the "other" building category though. Maybe I'll move them around.

    *shrugs*

    Coffee hasn't kicked in yet...

    Two main reasons.

One, new players. By having all unit organized visually, players can get a feel for all of the units and buildings available.

Two, easier to find the unit/building you're looking for for new and veteran players. Go to the category, find T2 vs T2, and you've got the icon. So it's easier and faster to find what you're looking for than a wall of text.

I also think this looks nicer than the previous layout.

And to continue, in a week or two or three I'm going to add some interactive functionality, including tooltips for quick info and filters.

Does your website have a facility to update unit info from the game files? I think pa-db.com does this. So when a game update is released, it is a relatively simple process to update the website's database.

    Just curious!

Tech tree page looks good, the background images are a bit distracting, you might want to decrease the opacity (or increase? I always get that the wrong way around), so it is easier to view. And maybe some vertical space between each section (vehicle, bot, air, naval, buildings, blah). You've done it down the page between buildings and orbital but not at the top for the unit categories.

Lastly, why not use hovertext of some kind to display the unit info? Going to the page is a bit of a faff. Use it as a fallback in case hovertext is not available.

Why not? Because I'm still coding that functionality. Got a lot of stuff going on and trying to get a bunch of things done for my week off from PA starting tomorrow.

Not only am I going to have popups with additional info, but I'm also going to have some filters, and possibly add other stuff down the line.
