How hard would it be to create a server side mod that, based on commander chassis type, applies a certain set of modifications to units/buildings in MP and SP (would not be a loadout for Galactic War)? Having loved SC/FA and the similar but distinctly different play styles for each faction, I wanted to (possibly attempt) create something similar. Current Idea (unit changes effect commander as well) Imperial (Legion, lots of units, better in groups) chassis type: 25% unit cost reduction 15% unit damage reduction 20% unit build time decrease 10% building cost reduction Raptor (fast/powerful but low health): 20% unit movement speed increase 25% unit/ 30% structure damage increase 40% unit/ 25% structure health decrease Quad (Builders): 35% structure cost reduction 25% structure build time decrease 10% unit cost decrease 10% unit build time decrease Treaded (Juggernaught): 15% unit / 20% structure cost increase 15% unit / 20% structure build time increase 30% unit / 40% structure hp increase 20% unit / 25% structure damage increase 20% unit speed reduction

That is just cut, paste and edit though right? But is the overall idea possible (based on commander chassis type) or would it have to have a set of rules per commander?
You'd have to give each commander a custom unittype, then all the units he'd build that same unittype, it'd basically be making a whole faction. Right now you could technically make up to- ~5 factions if you were to go through that route. And the game would increase in size by a bit, all those extra .json files.
