Its a great piece of art, but as others posted it just doesn't work with the current game design of the commanders, you need to make it so it is based off what they currently have as body pieces in game, custom commander is just that, not a whole new unit entirely. Perhaps they can just refund you or something, I think it would just be easier for everyone if they just did that but kickstarter pledges, its hit and miss when it comes to refunds. Kickstarter comes with its own risk, you are basically taking a gamble on you recieving what you pledge for as you're helping the developers make the game that you see, not like a charity, but sort of if you get my meaning? they don't have to refund you. You have to go into a kickstarter and never expect to get your money back when things go wrong, that is the draw back of kickstarter pledges..

Yeh, but I guess it depends on how you interpret "working with you". Doesn't it later say you can provide the source material and they design a comm that fits in the game based on it?
I understand that you've paid a grand and not got the exact design you want, but I think at some point you just have to accept that they can't make exactly what you want, with their time and tool limitations. I'm guessing, making 91 totally individual bodies, all with different animations, was too much time and resources for the one or two guys working on it.
Having 4 rigs, with existing animations etc., that need tweaking for custom designs, is WAY quicker and easier.
I guess it was either that, or have no custom comms.

Anyway, hope you reach an understanding either way

"We'll create a custom unique commander just for you" and "Working with you" isn't "deal with our terms for the product you paid for"

To be honest, if your not willing to make a commander that fits one of the existing rigs, You shouldnt get your money back. There is an entire process for these custom commanders. It says right in the guide lines that it has to fit one of the 4 different rigs.

They will not make a special rig, with special animations just for 1 person. If you want all your money back JUST FOR THAT LIL PISSY THING....Ill be glad to know Ill never meet you online in PA.

The reward level clearly states you send an insperation, not an exact model. It isn't that far away from a quad isn't it?
You have a bad timing asking. A few month ago I might have just happily bought up your pledge and made it mine, but right now there are some government institutions I want money from and if I "throw 1k away" in their eyes they will kinda look weird at me I think. .... Though seriously there are probably a ton of people in this forums we are buying commanders in the armory, maybe we could somehow put up a pool and buy your 1k pledge and make a community commander?
Back then the pledge was limited to 5 people, but nowadays commanders are sold for 10$, so that 5 per commander limit is moot.

them being lazy does not mean I should accept getting what I've not paid for and if that's how they feel about it then they shouldn't of wasted my time and instead just refund me

It's not backers fault that Uber didn't mentioned the custom commander skins would gonna lmited by rigs during the Kickstarter.

Yeah, that's not going to happen. You're expecting them to make a giant penis commander if you demanded it, and that's not going to happen.

The Commander must fit within Uber's style and parameters. That is abundantly clear because they said you give them "inspiration" – not, "you tell us exactly what you want."

Locking this thread. OP has decided rather than to work with us, he would like to make a public spectacle of this. That is his choice. We're still excited to get started on his commander once he decides to work with us on it.
