refund, 2 years of hassle and incompentance

hi I'm a backer who unsatisfied with the game who back the PA at the 1k mark when it was in it's kickstarter phase

I have not received any of my rewards that I paid for nor have uber made my commander I have tried getting my money back but uber does not care for good business practice and instead ran me around for 2 years

I would like to know if other people have had similar experiences like I have

Sorry for your experience... but there are over 100 custom commanders... You can't expect to have highest priority, also the other backer rewards are apparently coming soon, Brad made a post about them earlier.

I get the impression we are missing a page or two of conversation before that.
There are around 100 custom comms in the works, and I gather Uber are getting through them as fast as possible.
How did your design idea not meet spec? I mean, just send them something that you still like that meets there requirement and get your comm.
What other things have you not received, as lots of people are still waiting for rewards, and there is a thread discussing all the progress.

Like I said, it's because it doesn't fit any of the commander rigs, it has to fit one of the four rigs. Tank, Quad, Imperial, or Raptor.

by the looks of it, you are asking for a comm with a body style that is not possible with their current commander creation tools.
You need a sort of rough body shape to match first, basically, some legs at the bottom and torso/arms at the top.
I think there's your problem.
Can't you still design one that looks like that, but still is something you want?

EDIT EDIT: And to be fair, they have said they can only make your comm once you give them a design that fits a rig. they haven't said they wont make it at all.

Yeah. Damn those developers for not making the Commander overnight like you want. They shouldn't bother making a functional game, @chaosyourgod needs his Commander model!

Based on the email snippet you provided, and reading between the lines for the important bits you've left out, it seems that Uber needs some info from you before they can make the Commander.

I think it needs to be a mechanical commander? looks too insect like I don't think it fits with the lore of the game?

You need to pick a Commander type that fits within the design parameters of Planetary Annihilation.

The holdup is on your end, not theirs.

I paid them 1k to make me a custom commander for me personally as a customer I'm entitled to what I paid for and I am not bending on that point

You do get a custom commander, you just have some constraints. Every 1000+ backer must follow those constraints.

I'd suggest redesigning your com a bit as it seems like it may not fit the rigs they have for the different commanders. As for the rewards, just be patient they will come

It sucks that you can't get the exact model you want, but you have to sort of give a little to get a little. Clearly, the model you want isn't technically possible with the tools they have. Just have a spider type comm rig (which already exists) with the traits that your design has. It will still look badass, and be totally unique!
