For no apparent reason my computer freezes once MNC is being launched. Screen goes black(as it usually does when a game is loading up) and then, nothing happends. The only clue I have is that it seems to crash when trying to hook with my keyboard, is it in conflict with Windows or the Razer Lycosa drivers? Specs: OS: Windows 7 64-bit MB: Asus P6T CPU: Intel Core i7 940 @ 2.9GHz RAM: 4 gig dual-channel GFX: GeForce 9800GX2 Unfortunately, the launch log seems to be empty, probably due to me having to do a manual reboot after each attempt. And as far as I can tell, I've removed the commonly known criminals, all MNC files are added to Comodo's trusted files so they should have free reign, turned off UAC, installed the support files seperately as suggested, validated everything in Steam. To say the least, I'm staring at the screen like a monkey just scratching my head. Anyone with ideas or helpful hints at what might be causing this?
My guess is bad video drivers. I can't remember if the gx2 was that duel gpu card, if it is try disabling SLI on it. Have any other games to test it on? In general it seems that if you have issues running MNC there is also issues running other UE3 games like UT3, UDK, Mass effect, the Ball, Gears of War and many others. Sometimes looking up help on UT3 brings up relevant issues that apply to this game as well.
UT3 and Mass Effect run smoothely. And yes, the GX2 is the dual-GPU card. I'll see if there's a new driver version out and update, see if it works. And I hadn't really thought of switching off the dual-GPU, I'll check and see if that works.
