    -----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

    - Beginners Guide ~ All Classes -

    In advance:

    * This Guide is still being worked on, even though its finished.
    * Be aware: English is not my first language
    * This guide is mostly based on my personal experiences/opinion and is aimed mainly for public server matches.
    * About what you read in this guide: what you can do to ppl, ppl can also do to you.
    * Search for (!) marks for key essential information.
    * This guide is mainly to teach you the basics of the game and the game mechanics in it.
Your personal playing style that you have or going to develop is not for me to judge upon.

    1. What is Monday Night Combat? ___________________________________________________

Monday Night Combat is a class-based, third-person shooter and the most popular lethal sport of the future! It blends intense combat, finishing moves, and gameshow-like challenges and rewards to produce an action experience unlike any other. Why fight for honor or duty when you can fight for the real American dream: cash, fame and endorsements?

    2. For ppl that still need to start playing___________________________________________________

I recommend you to first do a few single player exhibitions with every class and get yourself known with them before you continue with this guide.
Makes it easier to understand everything.

    3. Basics___________________________________________________

    Your Goal as a team___________________________________________________

Your goal as a team is to destroy the enemys money ball.
The money ball is protected by a force field, which can only be destroyed by your bots.
So you will need to push the lanes that lead towards the enemy money ball by destroying the enemy bots/pros and turrets that stand in your way.
With the purpose to guide your bots in so that they can destroy the force field.

When the force field is down you just need to damage it in anyway possible.

Ones the money ball reaches 0 health you win the match.

    Overtime___________________________________________________

Overtime occurs during crossfire matches when the game timer runs out and neither money balls have been destroyed.

For two minutes the money balls shields stay down and only JackBots spawn.
If overtime concludes with both Moneyballs still intact, then the team that damages the other's Moneyball more is the winner. In the event both Moneyballs are at the same strength, then the team with the higher cumulative earnings is declared the winner.

During overtime all endorsements receive gold status

    Endorsements___________________________________________________

Endorsements are perks literally said. They improve specific abilities and attributes. Like rate of fire, reload speed, Health recovery and etc.

Here is a link that clearly shows you what every Endorsement does and how much depending on its lvl ( gold, silver, bronze )

    http://mondaynightcombat.wikia.com/wiki/Endorsements

    (!) Silver Armor Endorsement___________________________________________________

Why does silver armor get a separated section? Easy it makes you able to survive most grapples with the HP boost that you get from it.

Only the assassins back grapple is strong enough to kill you directly if you have silver armor endorsement.
Imagine that every assault could kill you instantly with 1 of there lvl 3 Charges ( see Class > Assault > Skills )
and assassins could kill you with just 1 of their regular front grapples.

Your live could seriously become very miserable 1s they notice you dont have silver armor or higher.
Which is the main reason why ALLOT of ppl have silver armor.

Many ppl call the armor endorsement the HP endorsement. Because it gives you flat HP

    (!) Taunt___________________________________________________

Taunting after you kill a pro gives you money, you do this by pressing the H button.

When fully performed the Taunt gives you additional 100 or 50 credits depending on how quickly you taunted after the kill has been made.

Look out, waiting to long can also result in not getting anything at all.

Also during the taunt your not able to control your character until the taunt has been fully performed. So only do this when you know your save. Or else a enemy pro could score a free kill on you.

    Read more here:

    http://mondaynightcombat.wikia.com/wiki/Taunts

    Turrets___________________________________________________

Turrets are the main defense of your base, without these it would become real easy for the enemy to guide their bots in and destroy your money ball.

So we need turrets. But which ones?

Its recommended that the turret slots on the frontline and the ones next to the money ball are Rocket turrets. Rocket turrets do AOE damage and when buffed with the Hack skill from the support they are tremendously powerful.

Turret slots in the rear are allowed to be Long range ( mortar ) turrets.

And for the Lazer Blazer and ShaveIce.. Theyre hardly useful.. I personally would never purchase them.

Maybe a laser turret on 1 of the rear slots if you dont prefer a mortar, but thats it

    Juice___________________________________________________

Juice is a reward which allows you to become super fast, super strong ( all damage output is insanely high ) and super durable for a set of time.

Juice is gained through doing damage to everything that can take damage from you
Or by picking up Juice items from the ground that have been dropped as loot from killed pros or PVE npcs

Youre also able to purchase a full juice bar at the juice shop for 500credits.
There are juice shops in every map, if you have all your skills maxed out and your turrets are decently upgraded then you should spend your money on this and try to push the enemy base.

1s your juice bar is full hit Left. Ctrl to active your juice

    4. Classes___________________________________________________

    Assault___________________________________________________

Quick, Mobile and able to make every others class his live miserable
Probable the most versatile class in the game

    Base HP: 500
    Base Speed: 600

    Weapons______________________________

    - Primary - Assault Rifle - Medium Magazine size, medium range, fast reload.
Just a regular assault rifle not much else.

    - Secondary - Grenade Launcher - Also known to me as the Bounce Gun. This gun shoots a grenade that bounces of walls. Making it able to shoot targets behind structures if there is a wall behind them.

    Skills______________________________

    - Passive the passive adds increased Jump Height (lvl2) and crit chance (lvl3)

    - Left Shift Bomb pretty much imagine yourself a satchel charge from any other game and ta-dah you have the bomb.

Throw and detonate with Left Shift

If the bomb gets stickied to a enemy Pro its a instant kill

This object is perfect for laying traps or just put a stop to enemies who are chasing you.

    - Q Button Fly this ability makes you able hover for a while. Besides being used for mobility goal settings, it could make it hard for a opponent to hit you when used properly.

In combination with the E Button (Charge) it gives a significant forward boost.

    - E Button Charge a charge that knocks back opponents. At lvl 3 it adds a grapple to it, which slams the enemy far far away. ( probable the best knock out skill in the game )

    General Tactics______________________________

The best advice that you can get is:

    Use everything at your disposal

    And man there not kidding.
If you throw a well placed bomb ( so not a instant sticky kill ) and afterwards use your Charge you can almost kill any1.
Except for maybe a tank. It could depend on how well you threw the bomb then

But still its funny that you dont even have to unleash a shot to kill some1 :)

    -
The Assault is decent in everything, not superb not amazing just good.
So also do everything that will make your team win at the moment it requires you to do so.

Grenade Launcher and the Left Shift Bomb are the best if youre going vs. bots/turrets

    Most common Endorsements______________________________

[Gold] Rate of Fire [Silver] -Open- [Bronze] -Open-

    Just dont use:

    Juice
    Speed
    Reload speed

I personally use Gold ROF, Silver armor and Bronze skill recovery

    Recommended Starting Skills______________________________

I normally start with lvl2 bomb and lvl2 Charge, lvling both up to lvl 3 asap and then passive

But its totally up to you, really depends on what you prefer to use.

    Support___________________________________________________

    Base HP: 400
    Base Speed: 600

    Weapons______________________________

    - Primary - Shotgun - Your best friend for close quarter battles.
The assassin and sniper class die in 1 shot over this Gun. But they need to be at very close range though.

    - Secondary - heal/hurt Gun - Your healing ray and damage ray. With the left mouse button you heal things and with the right you hurt things. Of course you cant heal your enemies and damage your allies :D

Both guns heavily improve with [Gold] Rate of Fire.
So much that it knocked Skill recovery from my gold slot

Healing turrets and giving them over heals is a breeze, same for pros
And a high rate of fire on your shotgun is also not that bad :p

Over heals can be applied if you continue healing your target after hes 100%
This can be done on friendly pros, turrets and bots ( not the jackbot )

A full over heal is equal to 50% of the targets maximum health
    Over heals degrade over time

    Skills______________________________

    - Passive Adds bot support aura, increased health recovery at lvl 2
And lvl 3 gives increased maximum health

    (!)- Left Shift Hack

Greatly increase any turrets range and rate of fire with Hack. Without this your fire turret is pretty useless.
Also rocket turrets become monstrosities with it.

Hacks arent applied permanently they end after a specific time.
With [Gold] Skill recovery your able to continuously support 3 turrets with hacks.

You can apply hacks by standing near the turret, aim for it and Hold Left Shift until the bar is done loading.

When you successfully hacked a turret you will see a additional number appear.

Sample. If you have a lvl 2 turret and you applied a lvl 3 hack then it will say:

    2.3.

note: you can also take over enemy turrets. But this takes longer then friendly turrets and if the turret isnt distracted it might kill you before your finished hacking it.

    - Q Button Fire Turret

This is your personal mini turret.
When combined with (lvl2+) hack this turret has great range. Its not capable to kill pro's on its own most of the time.
But the problem that the enemy pro will face is that he needs to fight 2 targets.
If the enemy pro decides to attack the turret then you can shotgun him into oblivion and if he decides to attack you its just a matter of keeping him busy which is the least you can do ( for your turret to be able to rip him apart )

Of course when the enemy pro makes preemptive actions to take it down. ( he attacks your turret outside the turrets range )

You should counter this by attacking or picking up your turret.

When you pick up your turret your skill is instantly recharged for 50%, when your turret is lvl3 this becomes 75%

When the turret is destroyed the skill will start to recharge for its full length.

LVL 3 also grants the turret a heal beam that heals friendly pros when they are near it. ( doesnt add over heal )

    - E Button Air Strike

Great for 1 hitting enemy Fire Turrets and blowing up Bots, this skill also 1 hits enemy pros.
The beacon that gets thrown sticks to all surfaces. Also pros :)

(!) Note: if the target is underneath something the air strike will hit the surface thats above him. Thus not killing him.

    General Tactics______________________________

This class can be played in so many ways that writing them all down (and also properly detailed) would mean a instant WALL of text.

In general try to push lanes, keep your teammates healthy

And make strongholds with your Fire Turret.
With this i mean that you should be placing your F.T at a location which is key essential to be holding ( the exit of the enemy base, a specific point in a lane etc. )

You should be able to recognize these points after a while.

Also when at the enemy money ball, place the Fire Turret beneath the enemies spawning room.
So that if they run out they dont automatically see your Turret standing in the open due to the fact that its beneath them until they jump down.

    Most common Endorsements______________________________

[Gold] Rate of Fire [Silver] Armor [Bronze] Skill Recovery

[Gold] Skill Recovery [Silver] Armor [Bronze] Rate of Fire

    Recommended Starting Skills______________________________

    - Air strike ( lvl 2 ) Greatly decreases its cooldown. Great for pushing lanes

    - Hack ( lvl 2 ) gives the range buff that you want on your fire turret

    Sniper___________________________________________________

    The long-range annoyance :)

    Base HP: 300
    Base Speed: 650

    Weapons______________________________

    - Primary Sniper Rifle - Headshot is instant kill, every where else is Multiple shots ( 3 to a max of 5, depending on armor and class )

    - Secondary Submachine Gun - Your personal mini Uzi mainly for defending yourself in Close Quarters.

    Skills______________________________

    - Passive lvl 2 adds bullet penetration ( bullets go trought enemy units, so if something or some1 is standing behind your target he will also get hit )
Lvl 3 adds area damage when impacting

    - Left Shift Flak

A Flare that does damage per second in an AOE blast, also blurs enemies vision.

Like i said its DPS AOE, but it isnt that strong

Best used against Turrets to deal additional damage when taking 1 out

    - Q Button Frost Mines

Your primary defense while sniping, these mines freeze your targets feet to the ground making them unable to move

When this occurs you should try to kill the victim in the way you prefer

    - E Button Grapple

lvl 2 unlocks the sniper rifle grapple, not much else to be said about it

    General Tactics______________________________
    [IMG]

Well.. what do you think :p

(!) Just be sure to cover yourself in with Frost Mines.
Placing them not to far away from each other is recommended cause if you dont kill your target in the 1st trap then you can withdraw to the 2nd mine that you have set.

    Most common Endorsements______________________________

[Gold] Rate of Fire [Silver] Armor/Mag size [Bronze] Mag size/Skill recovery/Crit

    Recommended Starting Skills______________________________

Lvl 2 frost mines, less cooldown and you can place 2 mines.

    -Open-

    Gunner___________________________________________________

The sprayer of sprayers, with hes Mini Gun and Mortar Launcher he will make countless victims across the map :)

    Base HP: 700
    Base Speed: 550

    Weapons______________________________

    - primary Mini Gun with the right mouse button your able to spin up your mini gun before going into combat. When you start shooting and the spin up that you performed before starting to fire was complete ( at its maximum rotation speed ). Then the minigun is directly at its highest ROF and also starts losing bullet power after a longer range.

Be aware that your mini gun is not a sniper though, best usage range is short-mid.

    img Source:
    http://denkirson.xanga.com/738334142/mo ... ht-combat/

    - secondary Mortar Launcher almost identical to the assaults grenade launcher only it doesnt Bounce of walls, it receives upgrades when increasing the lvl of the gunners Passive.

    Skills______________________________

    - Passive the passive of the gunner upgrades hes weapons.
Lvl 2 makes the mortar shoot 2 rounds at 1s. And lvl 3 makes it shoot 3 mortars also it gives the Gunner a Dual Minigun. ( higher ROF as a result )

    - Left Shift Slam

Your primary way to counter incoming assassins or just to smack any other pro away from you.

It also adds slow status. Which is welcome cause it ( of course ) slows your target, and thats not really handy for him if you aim your mini gun upon him :)

Has very high recovery rate even without the endorsement.

    - Q Button Deploy

this skill will deploy you in a fixed position which makes you unable to move and also not able to turn further then 90degrees in both directions, however you gain higher accuracy and a higher percentage chance to hit a crit

at lvl 3 you get head protection that prevents you from dieing instantly from a sniper headshots

    - E Button Grapple

When lvl 2 is reached you get acces to your grapple. Most Gunners always prever the Left Shift Slam though.

Assassins can use this knowledge by jumping up and dodge the slam. But in public servers this hardly happens.

    General Tactics______________________________

Gun Gun Gun and slam whoever gets close. Believe it or not but this is primarily it

For bots and turrets use your grenade launcher

    Most common Endorsements______________________________

There are allot of setups being used for the gunner, most of them are using [Gold] Rof though

    My personal favourite is:

[Gold] Rate of Fire [Silver] Armor [Bronze] Accuracy

Silver armor for the reason we already discussed at 3. Basics.
ROF doesnt need explanation. And accuracy because its dam nice.

Why not Mag size or reload speed ?

the standard mag size is more then enough plain and simple
and when you finally have your mag empty you should be save enough to reload even with its standard reloading speed.

If this isnt the case then your doing something wrong

    Recommended Starting Skills______________________________

Slam (lvl2), grapple is something you hardly use and deploying also hardly ever occurs. ( also its a skill that you activate when you think your save so there isnt much reason to upgrade this directly anyway )

So Slam and Passive (lvl2) are the only 1s that make sense.
After this go directly for Passive (lvl3) cause this gives you the Dual Mini Gun, which is a significant upgrade

    Assassin___________________________________________________

    Base HP: 300
    Base Speed: 650

    Weapons______________________________

    - primary Dagger/Sword - your melee weapon and your main grappling tool

    - secondary - Shuriken Launcher launches Shurikens that deal the same damage over all ranges. Weakness of this weapon is the slow traveling speed of the shurikens though.

    Skills______________________________

    - Passive lvl 2 Decreased fall damage, increased clip size.
lvl 3 No fall damage, Katana replaces Dagger

    - Left Shift Dash

Makes you move really fast and the higher the lvl the longer your able to dash. Simple as that

Direct (+-) 90degree turns cancel it though, so look out for that

    - Q Button Cloak

Cloak, makes you invisible at long/mid range. At close the player ->can<- see you as a transparent blur.
Also cloak makes a humming sound which can be heard by the enemy pro if your close enough. Note that this can betray you.

Same as dash, the higher the lvl the longer you can use it.

    - E Button Smoke bomb

unleashes a AOE blast which blinds the target if in range. This skill is primarily used for escaping instead of attacking, cause when you hit Jump right after the Smoke Bomb activated. You launch yourself into the air with a massive jump.

In flight you can cloak yourself again which makes it a superb escaping tool

The lvls add faster recovery speed

    General Tactics______________________________

Vs. Pve.. well just cut them up.

(!) sample Video of me going as Assassin:
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zyE4NAOpEso
easiest round ever though, will upload a more decent 1.

(!) [ going to montage and upload a video including pushing lanes and juicing bases and w.e more, link is gonna be posted here ]

Vs Jackbots slash a few times until he tries to pound you away. Quickly grapple him when he tries to do so and dash away, recharge your grapple and repeat. ( if he isnt down already then )
You can also jump at the moment he slams the ground.
Because the AOE blasts from hes slam travels over the ground you can jump over it and continue slashing instead of being knocked back.

Vs. players its primarily just -> be stealthy.

Engage when there not facing you, and at best when theyre busy with something.

You can also Lunge towards a opponent using R
Which is a quick jump forward and performs a melee attack when it collides with a target or when it stops.
Quickly follow it up with a grapple and you have a instant kill. ( if everything goes al right ^^ )

Note that it does take some practice

Always try to get a back grapple due to the fact that this does way more damage then a front grapple.
Back grapples kill all pros ( except for tanks ) no matter which Armor/HP endorsement they have.

In this guide im not completely gonna explain how you should do everything with a assassin.
Some1 with a bit of common sense can understand how he can sneak up to some1 while not being seen.

I must tell you though that just walking up towards your opponents back is a bad ide, due to the humming sound that is generated while being cloaked.
Go as fast as possible so that your target has minimum responding time. ( With Dash or with the R Button )

Like described at the Gunner section, the assassin can jump over the Left Shift smash of the gunner. Pretty much going near a gunner and jump when you notice that he notices you can result (allot of times) that the gunner uses hes smash and misses.

    Most common Endorsements______________________________

by far [Gold] HP [Silver] Rate of Fire ( increases slashing speed ) [Bronze] Skill recovery

    Recommended Starting Skills______________________________

Its up to you, but normally im going straight for the Sword.
    Which is Passive lvl 3

    Tank___________________________________________________

    Me take damage har-har

    Base HP: 700
    Base Speed: 500

    Weapons

    - primary Jetgun pretty much a welding torch that does damage on impact and sets ppl on fire. Has a short range.

    - secondary rail gun similar to a everyday combat rifle. Semi automatic fire and takes multiple shots to kill some1. Long range.

    Skills______________________________

    - Passive HP recovery ( lvl 2 ) and additional HP ( lvl 3 )

    - Left Shift Product Grenade a grenade that blinds your foes.
And adds splitting grenades ( dmg ) at lvl 3

    - Q Button Deploy no.. just no

    - E Button Jet Charge just a regular charge. Knocks back enemies. Your main Take This! skill

    General Tactics______________________________

The right mouse click of the Jetgun wipes a whole Bot squad away in 1 spin.
Souk up damage if it benefits your team.
And pretty much just perform PVE actions while killing pros that bother you.

If I tell you to go and hunt pros ppl will smack me :p

    most common Endorsements______________________________

its really what your preferring yourself. I would recommend [Gold] HP though

just dont use the following endorsements:

Juice, even though I see potential if it comes to pve goal settings. I dont really recommend it
Speed, is also a bit meh even though probable the best of this NO list
    Reload speed.. seriously not needed
Accuracy.. all weapons are already 100% accurate

    Recommended Starting Skills______________________________

There are 2 ways you can go,

    1. Going straight for lvl3 passive if your not that good at dodging assassin back grapples ( and afterwards charge followed by Product Bomb )

or 2. when your good at countering assassins, go straight for Jet Charge and Product Grenade ( if you like product grenade enough to pull it over passive )

    This was my Guide

@OP Please do read before attempting to talk about Assassins.

Grappling Jackbots = nono. You lose out on all that juice, and they go down quicker if you attack from behind and jump over the ground-pounds, not to mention that if a hostile Pro waltzes up, you can actually escape, versus being stuck in that admittedly-cool-but-highly-revealing animation being pot-shotted at or headcrabbed or air-strike-raped. The ONLY times you should be grappling bots are when you're halting/shredding Bouncers.

Always attack from behind, even with bots. You'll thank me later when you're stomping bases.

I object to the use of that image for Assassins, with the Sniper. Any half-competent player is hard-wired to hear the obnoxiously-loud hum of a Cloak, most of all Snipers. Poor form, Peter [brownie points to the first person to recognize this].

Assassins can't just focus on PKing like a Gunner can. Assassins need balance, which is what wrecks most pub matches and most Assassins. Stick with pushing lanes until you see a player. If the need is overbearing, fine, PK; if they leave you alone, leave them alone.

i always mix those 2 buttons up >.>
    *changed*

    To Jackal.

yea well i was mostly aiming for pubs matches. and in there you can grapple a jackbot like 90 percent of the time without receiving a single bullet

cause they hardly ever get supported by pro's.. which is retarded like hell of course

    about the image.

yea i know, if i took the effort to describe how to assassinate a pro at "General Tactics" i would have said that you cannot assassinate a person by just going into hes back by walking.

i described the problem of the humming at the Cloak Skill.
    i found that enough

I would absolutely not recommend that. Charge and product grenade are both very good to upgrade. Lv3 charge is one of the best skills in the game

yea thats also a possibilty, lots of ppl are going directly lvl3 passive, primarily because of assassin back grapples LOL

but what you say is also fine.
if your good at detecting assassins then this is certainly dignified

Tank can either get Passive + any L2 Skill... or he can go for L2 Red + Blue.

For the past two days I've been starting games with Passive + Gold, then saving for L3 Passive, and then playing the field for my next choices. If you keep mobile (which is Tank's greatest strength, despite he's apparent lack of it) then you can Deploy heal and get back into the fight quickly.

Retreating and healing means you keep your Juice, which in the early game can be devastating as nobody has anything to counter it except grappling.

Also, don't be afraid to save up money. If you're not sure what Skills to purchase, don't purchase any - go out and muck about and see what would serve you best. But to do this, you need to have played the class well enough to know its ins-and-outs.

I would actually recommend starting with product grenade and charge first and lvl the nade to 3 asap then charge and then passive. You can actually mix it up if you feel the need for more HP or use a clutch-passive.

Also i feel a need for RoF gold with Armor silver and skill regen bronze (i heard some people like HP regen bronze too).
The RoF makes the tank that much more usefull against everything you can encounter. Especially the railgun becomes way more deadly. You can actually kill bots from afar with product grenade and/or railgun, pick off a lot of Pros at longer ranges or just simply harass them so that they play more defensive/passive. Try to use the product grenade a lot and try to avoid battles at medium ranges, most of the time it's smart to just leave them be or, if close enough, close the distance with a charge or by using your surroundings and kill them with your jetgun.

In a nutshell: don't really agree with your part about the Tank. But then again who am I to speak :D

You adopt that philosophy and good luck playing against better players.

Teaching people to do the wrong things is worse than teaching them the right things, purely for the simple fact that if you do it wrong and learn it wrong, you have to eventually do it right, and fix it so it's right, and so that you don't revert back to doing the wrong.

Ttechnical;dr Learn it right the first time so you don't have to waste your time later fixing it and dragging down your team. Assassin's one of the classes with the highest learning curve [arguably] because the Assassin has to fill so many roles [versus the Gunner spray-and-praying, the Sniper PKing, etc.] and know the map/s inside-out to be even remotely efficient. Then they need to have situational awareness and know when to back off and lick their wounds, and when to jump back in, and WHERE to jump back in. You basically have to know what's going on anywhere in the map at all times, then know what to do with that information, in other words.

    ...

so... when do i need to arrange a date for you ?

nah.. but serious the whole guide is more about giving tips and advice. you can read at allot of subjects that i haven't explained fully which button they need to press at which specific moment and at which location.

more like, do this in that way and the result is this if you do it right.
    not more not less.

allot of this guide is just general information about what ppl do most and what you shouldn't forget to do. and how ppl want you to do some things in a particular way.

its not like a "pro guide" its a beginners guide. like said in the title. which normally means it doesn't include every last little detail about how to be fully super duper pro

but teaches you the basics. like what was my purpose on doing so.

i still pick out some bad grammer and improve them, and today i also updated allot.

anyway im gonna look at it tomorrow again to fix and add some things here and there.
but do know that it's still gonna be a beginners guide when im done with it

    Allow me to fix this.

No wonder so many Assassins are getting curb-stomped. My problem isn't that it's vague; my problem is that you're teaching bad habits that are already out-of-hand and deciding matches.

Fix it or don't, but my advice to other readers is to take this guide with a grain of salt. The part that pertains to my playing choice [Assassin if you haven't noticed by now] is near-dead-wrong for efficiency, because I'll admit, yes, you can do the aforementioned, so I can't say this guide is dead-wrong. But it isn't what you ought to do, so I don't know what else may be improper, and I don't really much care to find out after reading the section that pertains to Assassins.

Readed more comments from you and also your guide..

Are you aware that your personal opinion on how to play the assassin is probable not even followed up by the 0.01% of the community that does listen to you ?

Really.. I give some general advice and essential to know information ( mainly aimed for starting players ) and let ppl decide how they want to play for themselves after that point.

Knowing the fact that the (uber huge) majority of the community is going to do that. ( doing w.e they want. )

So yea.. giving general information on whats bad and wats good and also what things are and how they should be used.

Is WAY more realistic and accaptable for them then you trying to push through your own personal Jehovah witness crusade which no1 gives hearing to.

including that if you want to go and PK you shouldnt play the assassin but go Gunner/Sniper.. yea.. like.. rofl! thats certainly gonna happen.

ppl just want to play there class the way they want to. giving them info about what he/she can do is something different then some1 telling you that your a complete retard if you don't do this and that the way he wants it.

Like I said before Still gonna improve and add some stuff ( also in the coming hours )
but the subject is still gonna be the same

Only thing I picked up from you is that im gonna implement the line:

This guide is mainly to teach you the basics of the game and the game mechanics in it.
Your personal playing style is not for me to judge.

    So yea good going

eventually when im done with it im maybe gonna post it on steam. to help starting players.

So yeah.. uhm didn't you get the memo? He isn't the only one thinking that Assassins aren't for assassinating but for killing bots and towers. It sounds counterintuitive but that's how it is. It would be cool of you to actually mention that in your guide.

On a side note: You could mention the effects of minigun sec. fire and that the minigun sucks long range in the section about the Gunner. I'm tired of seeing gunners try to kill a tank across the map by deploying and shooting at him with their minigun. For the love of god, it's as easy as stealing a kids candy to shoot him with a railgun. Actually, a lot of classes can kill him in this situation.

These two things are common newbie mistakes i noticed that you should actually cover in your newbie guide.

im aware that assassins are amazing for pve.
in a other post i pretty much mentioned them as the best for it.

and yea i can indeed write a bit more about the assassins anti PVE abbilities. probable also will.

but about "Jackal Queenston` opinion, he goes to far with it.
hes vision isnt realistic with what the majority of the ppl in public matches want to do and are willing to do with the assassin class.

pvp combined with pve ok they can handle that
them reading a word that assassin is only mentioned for pve and that a gunner or sniper should be doing the pvp and they will swear at you
as a figure of speech but there is a high possibility that they actually will

and this was meant for ppl who play in public servers ?

like really i understand hes message that he wants assassins to do more PVE but if some1 reads this he turns around and forgets in a hour if not way less that he ever wrote it

    --------
    and about the 2nd item.

i went like.. o yeaaah with a high tune.
    indeed i forgot about that.

    i will add it.

And you have yet to disprove anything I've said, while I've practically logically bashed your entire Assassin section except for few key parts which are rather sound; instead, you've resorted to attempting to bash 'my opinion' and most likely didn't even bother to read the follow-up posts after reading what you wanted to read to attempt twisting my words.

If you actually read the rest of the four pages of comments, you would've found out that I'm not anti-PK, and actually have a section dedicated to PK; I am against, however, mindless PK, and your strategies practically propagate mindless PK and lack any mention of situational awareness and being aware of what opponents do when they see an Assassin, let alone seemingly-basic concepts of the Assassin.

Feel free to challenge what I say, by all means, but do so logically. You assuming that not even '0.01%' of the population [however true it may be] reads my guide doesn't disprove what I say, it just proves that you're rather horrible at trolling.

Dude when you commented i only described what the assassin could do and what he should pay attention to. Only from that you already waved the flag of war and said i literally let ppl march to there deaths because of it.

    you said.
You adopt that philosophy and good luck playing against better players.

And this was only due to the jackbot story? >.>

I edited it now but don't remember if i changed it due to Battlecakes comments or yours. Think it was due to battlecake cause he said it would be better if i explained more in the assassin > Tactics > PVE section. Think that upon this i also started to improve some things in the PVP section.

Im also Going to montage a video now with all pve actions and all valid pvp assassination tactics included.
After that im going to overhaul the whole assassin section again. Even though the content itself is probable not gonna be changed much.

Last time you posted, my edits were at 9 now its at 25.
So yea i added allot and improved some stuff but the assassin section is almost still the same.

    Btw I twist things ?

    You said.

    -
    Allow me to fix this.

    -

Seriously is this still based on the jackbot story or are you trying to say that when I explained a existing game mechanic/tactic such as Lunge followed by grapple isnt actually true but instead isnt possible ?
Or when I said that you should always go for a back grapple that that isnt true aswell ?

Or that you say that when I said: Go as fast as possible so that your target has minimum responding time. ( With Dash or with the R Button )

That you actually WALK up to your target and ask him politely to stand still ?

    Like seriously..

    -
    You said.

    -

Which bad habits.. im primarily referring to what assassins can do.

    -
    You said.
while I've practically logically bashed your entire Assassin section
    -

With what? Air? Its more like you have a mental illness where you are even willing to bend reality to get your little victory mister ego tripper.

    -
    You said.
[however true it may be] reads my guide doesn't disprove what I say, it just proves that you're rather horrible at trolling.
    -

what is wrong with this sentence.. o I know.. that truth and trolling normally dont go hand in hand.. then its more like teasing, but even that wasnt the goal behind that sentence of mine. And you know it.

    -
    you wrote.
I am against, however, mindless PK, and your strategies practically propagate mindless PK
    -

    propagate mindless PK

    *spits out coffee*

    where ? >.>

cause I propagate more to -> IF <- your gonna PK then do this or that and look out for..

    -
    you wrote.
and lack any mention of situational awareness and being aware of what opponents do when they see an Assassin, let alone seemingly-basic concepts of the Assassin.
    -

do you REALLY think any1 is gonna think back to your guide every time they see a pro and base on YOUR guide what there reaction is probable gonna be ?

let stand remembering every thing of your guide that you wrote in the 1st place ?

and again.. ( again again again ) this is a beginners guide. You only write about the assassin so yea I can imagine that its more then reasonable that you include this.

    I wrote:

    -
In this guide Im not completely gonna explain how you should do everything with a assassin.

    -

seriously I know its almost your only trump card, but like other things you mentioned, its quite weak..

Due to the fact that I aim to let ppl learn THOSE things for themselves.
Cause there not stupid and ARE able to learn from what happens to them.

    -
    You wrote.
And you have yet to disprove anything I've said
    -

such as ? that youre a mental twat that tries to push trough hes own victory with illogical mumbling ?

I didnt explained the PVE section YET. So you cant bash that.
And the PVP section primarily exists out of things a assassin is able to do. ( which is gonna be showed in the Vid aswell )

So really besides me not including the Jackbot story of jump over the slam and continue slashing you pretty much havent said anything relevant..

And that your trying to include your guide into the fight now is also not really a Ace in your deck to say the least.

Anyway this post is more like my working bench now and you havent contributed at all yet nor made me change anything.

    Except that I implemented this:

    * This guide is mainly to teach you the basics of the game and the game mechanics in it.
Your personal playing style that you have or going to develop is not for me to judge upon.

Like seriously your guide is ok but your attitude in your guide which can be best described as do what im telling you or youre a Retard! isnt going to commit a beginner/pub to follow up your guide most likely. ( or read it out )

Again, its better to tell some1 what hes capable of and what is best to do in a specific situation. So that hes like..

Hey.. he told me by doing this I can avoid this or perform that, im going to try it.

And thats how you should be teaching a person ( in gaming ) something. Cause ppl arent going to change there whole playing style just for a guy on a forum. Certainly not with that attitude.

Jackal is a 4chan basement-dwelling nerd, he lives to argue about anything, why are you even reading his posts? The guy obviously jacks off to cartoon pictures of animals made to look like humans, why would you take anyone like that seriously?

But on topic, your tank section made me physically ill it was so bad.
