Maybe this is just because I am relativity new to PA and don't know all the units yet however I was playing against an absurd AI on a single planet. After having routed the enemy from the land with ease it retreated into the water. This became a problem because once it was in there it became incredibly difficult and time consuming kill it.

It would pretty much one hit kill my ships before they could get in range to do anything and aircraft would just get shot down. This was incredibly frustrating as a game which was pretty much won was drawn out at leased twice as long as it should have been.

I was thinking once they go under water, Commanders should get a nurf, such as not being able to use there AA (unless this is the case already).

I didn't realize T1 bombers could hit commanders in the water. By decent sized groups 10 - 15?

Yeah 15+ is a good number, around 50 can take out a commander in one bombing run. The less you have in a group, the more you will lose so it's best to have larger groups.

Last time I checked it's still fine to use bombers against commanders. There used to be very deep water where you couldn't target the comm but I don't think it works like that any more.

Hehe "decent size group means" means more like 100-150 to some people here.

Commander torpedo launch is OMGWTFSTUPID OP. 500 DPS compared to the ground weapon which is 160, and it never misses, and it has giant range.

I once started GW with vehicle commander and my first battle was multiplanet. Luckily for me, we started on the same planet, too bad enemy commander left for another planet before I could reach him. Now imagine this. AI hides in a puddle. None of my vehicles can reach it. When my commander starts building naval near shore, it immediately gets torpedoed. I am a vehicle commander. No bots, no air, no artillery, nothing - my first battle. I decided to comm box him and won.

But damn, those torpedoes are insane. I once started on water planet in between to other commanders, so close that every building I'd start would get torpedoed immediately. So I just started walking around and my commander alone destroyed everything they both had.

10/10 agree, had a game where the commander killed countless ships and buildings due to the fact that the torpedo has an insane range plus 500 dps. dumb.
