LOL! Sorta cool. Is it a feature or a bug? ;)

It's a feature - Incidental Collisions. If you don't want this to occur, test your systems and take planet radii into account in orbits.

Has anyone achieved this by canceling a smash at the right moment?

The moon after a while reminds me of what is left of the apple I just ate.

I don't think it was supposed to be like this. The smaller planet should have disappeared after the first collision

It is meant to be like this. Unless it's a full/mostly front-on collision, then only part of the planet is destroyed.

I have a funny feeling that it might be using the pre-deformation shape to determine if it hits on each pass.

Other than that, a very gamey, very fun method to remove a couple of planets for the game without actually removing them.

Sorry, I'm confused, I thought 'feature' and 'bug' meant the same thing ;)

Love the band of craters on the large planet, I wish it was possible to get that at the start of a match.

As i said it happened by surprise when Halley's on the the small moon were activated to hit planet far away. Our ally didn't really check that moon has to first go around planet it is orbiting to go around sun and then towards the target.. and seconds after start it rammed the other orbiting planet and halleys got destroyed resulting in new orbit that was on collision course with another moon all the time - only stuff on pole survived and almost all eco went to hell for the ally on the bigger moon ;D You can imagine he was pissed ;D

I would say pretty interesting phisics there! might be more usefull to use moon with halleys this way :D

It was really dumb and boring game... :p
Guy fortified his small moon and we couldn't do much. There was a lot of nuke spam and what not. Our game ender would be that planet smash but you saw already what happened in the video. So after we stopped laughing and blaming our team-mate, we finally managed to stand on our feet after major energy loss, and it took 20 minutes. There is nothing to watch beside that hilarious "feature" :)

    We won.
