I have same problem buddy. I've just got disconnected after maybe 30sec of game. Seriously??? Lack of offline mode and save/load option makes playing GW very Russian-Roullette'ish. I'm affraid that because of that (and other issues), PA can get some pretty bad press. Btw. Does anyone know of any other RTS game that was shipped without savagame option?
I also have this problem, but not just in Galactic War, but also in AI Skirmishes. I'll go into a skirmish, and between 20 and 30 minutes into the game it will tell be "Connection to Server Lost" and throw me back into the lobby. I've only managed to beat one game (which was awesome) but the other four or five games I've played have ended in connections being lost. I really don't mind the fact I have to be online to play, so long as I can maintain a server connection. Any tips/ideas?
