    Hello,

Everytime I finish a match in PA and click on return to main menu, it crashes with the error message in the subject. My DxDiag is attached. Also today for the first time PA crashed on me in a 3v3 3 planet system earlier today with the same error message. Please help.

    Thank you,

    shaden4

your GPU drivers are out of date, that might be the cause

Having low ram can also cause this if you try to leave, but it is slow to leave, then you spam clicking.

i dunno wtf's going on here.

You probs have viruses on your computer.

drivers are owed to you by the company that makes your card. it's part of the damn deal.

Whoa there, he might have just done it wrong, or incorrect link? I dunno... It shouldn't cost money though, I'd help if I knew how to. :p

No graphics driver asks you for money or enforces registration, they are free updates without any charged additions.

What kind of registration are you talking about? Sure that it isn't just a 'register for news/amd forums/etc' nonsense you can skip?

edit: Also, RAM size is quite a bit low, which can cause these kind of crashs. Memory usage is continually optimized, but you should think about an upgrade. 4GB in generally is quite low for modern applications.

Doubtful, I have four gigs, and an integrated GPU, yet I have no crashes when leaving to the main menu.

I know, but 4GB of RAM will limit him to single-planet systems until he upgrades.

This issue is similar to the one that another user tried to fix. The OP tried practically everything, from upgrading RAM to changing out the PSU, and the issue still persisted.

I had some of those crashes when i ran on 6GB, and that's with a 2GB graphics card.

Cannot track that 100% down to ram, but it stopped when i upgraded to 10gigs. Then again, RAM usage is weird anyway.

It could be a page file issue. @shaden4, did you have any out-of-memory errors when the game crashed?

Are you running any 3rd-party software, including the ones from this link?

Question: when you click to leave does it immediately bring up the error, or, is it after a while when you click/try to do other things?

    sorry for the late response.

No, i dont have any of the third party software installed.

And it crashes as soon as i click the return to main menu button. and i am very much considering upgrading to 8GB ram quite soon. also i retried the link and its still asking me to buy the program

You don't need to buy graphics drivers so there is something wrong there.

Also I notice your on original windows 8... Any reason why you haven't upgraded to 8.1? Windows 8 is no longer officially supported by amd...

Edit: 8.1 update is free from the Windows app store...
