    Oh and the weekly update:

    https://forums.uberent.com/threads/uber-weekly-update-august-13-2014.62882/#post-977269

"At the moment we’re writing this, we’re creating unique assets for the Mac installer. We’re making adjustments to balance, as we watch people play and hear feedback. We’re making gas giants brighter, enhancing mod support, and continuing our work on offline play. There’s a lot of motion, a lot of polishing happening right now as we speak."

Would've been nice for them to sticky it themselves and post to the news page rather than rely on the forum users to inform the user base. Thanks for putting this up though. Wish you could edit the title, it'd be nice if it mentioned Offline in the title, but still. Appreciate you putting the quotes up.

Also, I feel special. You quoted me :)

Hehe, eventually I ended up trying to make it a bit prettier so I cut off all the extra stuff, so your quote is no longer there! D:

    Sorry for the alert. :p

Edit: Also I can edit titles, what do you think of it now? ;)

Edit2: I was wrong, I didn't cut off your quote? Ah well, we need context anyway. :D

Yea! This is good news, Good news indeed. The lack of offline play is one of the biggest problems that the Steam reviews tend to point out. The sooner it releases, the better. Thanks for the confirmation quotes Squishy.

Yeah yeah, they don't want to give dates or ETA. Nothing new here. They didn't deliver on a promise they used to solicit funding, and now they're backpeddling and avoiding the question, relying on forum users to dredge up old quotes or giving one line ambiguous answers.

I'll believe it when I see it. It'll arrive about the same time they fix pathing and implement this nifty feature called balance. We'll see a unit cannon before offline and DRM free.

So basically, by the end of the year, you will see it, but until then, you are going to break this game publicly in a way that can't be "apologized for" when it does come, in a "damage done" way.

So when you get it, you will get it, but when you do damage, they will still be damaged when you get it. Sounds.... not entirely really fair.

BTW, brad didn't say anything not said by Neutrino not that long ago.
So, if they don't say anything in a month, then they abandoned development, they abandoned players and took their money and skipped country with it? How often really is it necesary to keep tabs, because at this point "probation after prison" is less invasive...

They have been informing. A week later though, people are already saying "the devs always keep everyone in the dark".

What damage are you talking about? Multiplayer works just as well with the online servers. Actually lan multipalyer has become the exception, not the rule (otherwise my computer club would not have that many issues to get new members).

People are having tournaments with the game as it is.
There is a mod to have a basic ladder., till they got a proper one set up.
If you don't like the balance, that is what server side mods are there for. There is one big project you could help with.
And mods were integral part of the gameplan and cost them quite a bit of work to implement.
Work they now are missing in the offline mode and the real ladder.

There are plenty solutions for problems. And people that are actually interested on solving the issue will jump at whatever there is.
People who only want to complain will find something to complain about, no mater how far they have to go to get there.

The game has problems, but nothing that is going to cause "irreparable damage". Do you even have a idea how often I read that phrase in online forums and how rarely it was right? It is hard to take anyone who uses that old phrase seriously. So let's not make mountains out of molehills.

Let's just continue to gather relevant data about offline mode and not talk about how "hopeless" you think everything is.
Oh yes, and those "if they wanted to succeed" arguments are pretty old too:

You don't get sarcasm do you? By irrepairable damage, I meant that was what he was trying to cause, not that would be the result. It is stupid how servers are coming out, but people are like "break Uber to the ground because they deserve it" meanwhile, it is because right now their arguement is valid and if they don't start a boycott now then their arguement will just be invalid later with updates.

Maybe they should have waited until the game was release ready
Maybe they should have made one of the vastly most important features a priority

What's done is done, and while I'm not involved in any implied smear campaign, I'm certainly not recommending PA to anyone just yet.

(You should give it a try as well, point was to be a bit more like TA... A lot of new units. :) )

Well they felt it was ready for release, "ready for release" is a pretty subjective time frame. :S
