So I just updated the game to build 71729 and whenever it loads up, the only thing I see is the friends/notifications bar and the music is playing. I have already tried deleting the stable build folder and re-downloading it but it doesn't fix the problem. Does anyone else have any ideas?

Yes I have MSI Afterburner, however that has never caused an issue. I closed the program and then tried again and it worked. Is there a way to run them together or will I just have to close and reopen MSI Afterburner every time I play?
I think you're going to have to run PA without Afterburner, as other users got the same black screen with that software. Although your Intel drivers are almost four months old, I can't seem to find any new drivers for your type of card. Actually.... Afterburner 4.0 fixes it if you make a special profile for PA apparently. See this post. And bolbies game works on those drivers, so no touching.
